Thank you to everyone, your all wonderful friends and human beings!

Little Feet, is a trooper, we are stalling off the surgery as long as we can, as long as he keeps on peeing even a little at a time, it means he is not "blocked" totally and there is time for the meds and diet to start working, so the surgery which would cost me $800 may not have to h appen if we keep up the good work and keep him peeing. So fingers crossed he doesn't get totally blocked before the stones can be dissolved through diet and meds. Its a touch and go situation and very nerve racking for me, because i check the cat litter every time he pees to make sure something came out and i dread seeing "nothing".

Thanks again for all your caring thoughts, and so far they are working

Love you all, and Merry CHristmas

I'm sorry to hear your troubles!

Wow, you know, reading your post reminds me of how lucky I am to have my loved ones in good health... the rest doesn't really matter.

I'll be sure to pray for you. I hope this is just the darkest hour that comes before the break of dawn.

BTW, about your cat, do you have a cat water fountain? I know that helps increase the amount of water cats drink and decreases urinary track infections. I actually got one for my sister this Christmas.

Well I am a newbie here, so we haven't interacted much (yet) but you have my thoughts and sympathies - you are going through a tough time. I have a chronic progressive health problem my self so I know how it can bring you down and make everything a struggle.

Hope your kitty gets better soon, and my sympathies on your loss and for your family. Wishing you the best, and hoping that the New Year is brighter for you and yours.

Take care, all the best, good thoughts for you,

    Thank you Nicolas,

Don't you know my vet just told me the same thing the other day about a "automatic water fountain"...lol....So i went out and bought one and i am hoping he drinks more! Also, i had to take away his favorite food..."dry food"....he can only have can food now and he is pissed!

Thanks for the good thoughts and your kindness.

Pat on a serious note, don't let your cat cheat on his diet.I know a bit on the cat infections and medication and diet will get rid of the blockages in most cases. The diet will change the PH of the urine and will get rid of the crystals(solid stuff ).For humans cranberry juice works ,not sure if that is good for cats too .

Thanks Judy, and of course you are so right. That is exactly what the vet said.
I am doing my best, but he is my baby and he is so damn spoiled he sits there crying at me for his "friskies"...lol...and mommy has to tell him no more bad food for you, and i give him is "special" food, and he looks at me like,...what the hell is this crap? lolllll

But i will be vigilant and make him eat only the good vet food and hope for the best. The surgery is the only other option except putting him down, and that is not an option at all!! I will go work the street corners if i have to, to earn the cash for the operation!.....lol

BTW How are you feeling? I hope everything is great? Are you up and about? If so whats it like?????....I am still stunned that i didn't know what type of surgery you were having, and i really want to know if it worked???????

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas, you deserve it, your a beautiful person inside and out.

    Love ya

Ahhhh! Your cat looks like my cat!

On a side note, if she doesn't care for the food switch, check with your vet and see if you can sprinkle some catnip in with it. My cat goes freaking WILD for that stuff, so it can be an incentive for her to gobble up the stuff she doesn't like in the process.

No double paws for ours. She's called "Princess Whiskas"

In the future when we're ready for more cats I'd like to name them "Stinky Pete" and "Fleabag Jones" but the wife doesn't want to let me have those names

    Pat ,
My surgery wasn't a wrk of a miracle, more of a maintenance.I have been unable to put weight on my left side for almost two months because of so much tension in my tendons and such.I had surgery which relieve pressure and pain ,I can walk a bit better but still use my wheelchair for distances. The right leg is going the same so will get it fixed in a couple weeks.
The cat will adjust , tellhim eat that crap or starve im 99.9% sure he will learn to like it

Pat, I am truly sorry to hear about the hard times you and your family have been going through and my condolances on the lost of your sister inlaw. That is such a terrible thing to have to experience at this time of the year, let alone any time of the year and to know your other sister in law is close to her time only makes it that much harder.

I have know I went through a terrible time in my life 4 years back and almost lost all that I hold closest to my heart and it was not easy nor is it to recall it but I can tell you that, and I know it might not be much comfort, that things will get better and happiness will return to your hearts and spirits. You now have one extra angel looking over you and your family and I know she will do what is needed to bring peace, happiness and good health to you all.
