I'll be back to LAC for my 7th or 8th time -- and I'm not even an affiliate lol

I do work with affiliates and with operators though, and LAC brings almost everyone I work with together for a few days in a great city that's become my second home over the years. And our company throws a bit of a party every year at this time so can't miss that!

As usual I'll be flogging content. If you're interested in stories (RSS feeds) or branded video content let's chat. I'm also looking for partners for a couple of news sites that we publish...

And... I'll be greeting guests at the door at our annual party, Fire & Ice, Feb. 3rd. See you there?

Try looking rooms/flats through airbnb.com. There is not going to be anything cheap near Kensington.

To all the good people I've met over the years - thanks. Had a wonderful time with you.

I think this was my last conference.

    I'm done.

I didn't enjoy this one. Couldn't hear a word that was being said at any of the talks due to the noise and lack of seating. It was far better when it was at Earls Court.

really? thought earls court was ****, this was much better.

must admit it was a complete farce trying to get in on friday even though I pre-reg'd, had to fight my way in

there was lots of seating upstairs, just had to avoid all the binary twats. going to do a much more detailed post later as well, especially about the amount of bullshit flaming we get now

EDIT - Sorry just realised you said talks, didn't bother with any of that so can't comment

just the amount of lies people post on here now, not talking about the odd one sided porky but the amount of outright bullshit that gets posted by affiliates on here. it's stopping affiliate managers coming on and joining in what should be a great medium between us affiliates and our managers

    Examples of the outright bullshit?

I thought the show was really good, found some really nice casino brands I'm going to hook up with and also got my rev % pumped up on established accounts.
I didn't find the talks of much use, would have been better to handout books of SEO for dummies but it did give me a little reassurance that I'm on the right tracks.

    BAD Points:
Friday night party at MODE was a poor choice, small, expensive and miles away from main area.
Talks, very basic, very brief and when the speakers were asked good questions they were some very guarded replies.
Sat night party, didn't go because if it was anything like the MODE **** fest it would just be a waste of time for me.
Binary sales people, very desprate and really put me off that market.

I would go again but only for a day and a half.
UK Casinos 8, coming out of retirement because I need the money.

All drunk and exhausted and could not be bothered to pay affiliates on time, we have to pay our bills you know.

This industry is such a joke

You have pretty much reaffirmed my decision to swerve the LAC. I only attended the ICE for one day and caught up with old friends and made a couple of new ones.

This must be a reference to the open seating area between the two rooms. Not sure why it was organised like that. The two conference rooms on either side were completely cut off from any external noise.

Didn't go to Earl's Court last year. Olympia was vastly better than that awful sweat box of Old Billingsgate.

That's a shame. I always love seeing you.
Thanks again for my present. I have it home ready to use tonight

I hope you change your mind eventually and come to another conference so I can at least bring you something awesome from Oz.

I didn't go to MODE but the party on the last night was pretty good. If you wanted to dance, there was plenty of room for it where there was good music. If you wanted to chat there was a huge room out the back with a bar and very quiet music where we ended up so we could talk **** all night. I think it was one of the better parties I've been to.
There was also an outdoors area for smokers where they were cooking food for everyone too.
