Unfortunately that is true for every single month of the year, not depending on whether there are big sporting events or not.

I'm struggling a little bit more this month as opposed to last year at around this time. It's definitely going to get harder each year as the competition in this industry increases. Also not to mention the affiliate programs that close their doors on us. Making the situation even more bitter.

Hi AussieDave, you have misunderstood me. All I meant was that our industry is improving overall and in general for everyone with regards to the economy. There's also no doubt that the competition is increasing for everyone as there are always new people joining the market, wanting to be an affiliate. Being an affiliate is not as easy as it was just a few years ago. These are 2 separate things.

I think what you are trying to say is that the US economy is getting stronger, which is a positive for sponsors targeting the US market, but the amount of affiliate competition out there is far more intense than it used to be and is making it increasingly harder to generate an income. Voted much better than normal, the month started slow on the first week but on second week it's started to show sign of a good month and so far it's going to be the second best month this year

The large fluctuation in search rankings due to Google's core update is a concerning factor, but June's earnings were extremely high.
