Hi,

I read that many times (on many different places) and saw a lot of proofs. There are many case studies which proved this, but I cant recall of any link.

One example out of my head is Phoenix.pizza. It was on the first position for the phoenix pizza, but now is on the second position after TripAdvisor (at least from my side).
If you search for it via your mobile phone you will see that Google highlighted the whole domain which means it treats the name plus the extension as an exact match of the searched keyword phrase.

Another example is Multifamily.loans.

When I search for the multifamily loans on my mobile phone the first result is Multifamily.loans and the whole domain (including the extension) is bolded as an exact match. BTW, the owner of that site purchased Home.loans for $500,000 earlier this year. He would not do that if he did not have good experience with the other .loan domain.

New gTLDs dont have any advantage when comparing to .coms, but neither they have any disadvantage. They are simply equal to Google. Therefore Home.Loans and HomeLoans.com has exactly the same chance of reaching the first position in SERP. Of course, you need to have the other SEO factors done properly. Exact match domains are still of huge help in ranking, but you cant expect that you will be on the top just because you own some EMD.
