He dies after 18 months in coma. After his avalanche accident Johan was brought back later to the Netherlands because in his country passive and active euthanasia is allowed, an amazing blessing for all involved.

Hi Leopold,

My husband has tried everything under the sun. The e-cigarette seems to be working, so I hope he will keep it up and manage to be successful.

I have such a good sense of smell that it really gets on my nerves the ashtray after smell. You should see the amount of salt my husband adds to his food, his sense of taste is gone

The federal government of Germany plans to prohibit selling e-cigarettes to young people under 18.

But some things are going off course here in Germany.



In a judgement of Düsseldorf District Court the appeal of Friedhelm Adolfs (photo), a 75 years (!) old smoker was rejected. He lived and smoked 40 years (!) as a tenant in the same apartment, and now -again: after 40 years- he must leave it until end of this year.

Allegedly other tenants were bothered by the cigarette smoke in the staircase, coming through his door.

Decision had not yet been final. German Federal Supreme Court have the last word.
