I received Another reply from Martin today.
Hi there,
Thanks for your reply.
This has been a company wide decision for all affiliates. We will continue to work with a select group of partners who have the operational scale to guarantee compliance and deliver a worthwhile contribution to our business.
Unfortunately at this time we can no longer accept new UK traffic from your side. However please note that this does not effect any existing players. These will remain to be paid. Please do remove us from all UK facing sites.
Moving forward these steps have been put into place for future UK traffic only, so if you are able to provide traffic in other countries we are more than happy to look into this.
Hope this clears things up and helps.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

who have the operational scale to guarantee compliance and deliver a worthwhile contribution to our business?
I wonder what that means?!?
I was asking what we are missing in the LeoVegas Review but never received a reply on that so I guess it was never checked properly. In fact, I asked this question twice without answer....
Now I've told Martin that I've started this thread so we'll see if he's responding here soon.

Can not help but this annoys me. Are they using the new UK compliance to reduce spending? Remember. The UK market is the largest market in the World (at least in Europe). Tell me if I am wrong.

In their defense, they claim they will still compensate for UK players already sent. They just will not accept new UK traffic from most affiliates.
While this is - well, ****** for most people, at least this is not retroactive. At the end of the day, I cannot complain about this.
How will this work if they click on a UK affiliates link? Say sorry you came here by an affiliate. Please clear cookies and come to us direct?

I don't know if they will reduce their spending, they will probably change their spendings from affiliate marketing more into things they can control more by themselves, like their own affiliate sites or other forms of marketing.
It is annoying, but it is their right to do so. They have no obligation to work with affiliates or to work with every single affiliate in the UK. As long as they respect their agreements.
In Belgium, some programs don't have even an affiliate program. That is annoying as ****, but from their point of view understandable.

Just received another reply from Martin. So, if he is honest at least some bright here for the UK market in the future.
Hi,
Unfortunately this can not be changed at this time. I know this is frustrating, however this is the way we must work moving forward.
Perhaps in the future this may open back up again. In which case we can take it from there. But as of now we are only able to work with a select group.
Wish you all the best moving forward and hope we can build a good relationship within other markets.
Best Regards
Martin

Just noticed this, not sure why I didn't get the compliance email. We feature Leo Vegas quite prominently, I've just contacted Martin and hope to hear back with something positive.

Yeah we checked that earlier today, that's how we found out - but how many affiliates check their aff mailbox? Anyway hope it's not too late, we give lots of exposure to Leo Vegas and it's a great casino.
We were just told about this by our affiliate manager today. Bit peed off to say the least.
Since December we've sent about 6k clicks from our sites on to Leovegas.
Not huge numbers but enough to have potential significance.
I hadn't really looked at the dash until today as they are not one of our bigger partners.
Noticed that we had 6k clicks over the 3 months and no conversions.
Not entirely impossible but quite unusual.
So I shouted out to our affiliate manager to ask if it could be a tracking issue.
Nope - our account for UK traffic was closed on December 4th
No correspondence, nothing in our inbox.
They were still happy to take the traffic and probably, the players. We'll never know.
On to the never again pile for Leovegas.
WTF - Was your account still open for non-UK clicks then? Trouble is you may well have ended up as having a great % become depositing players in this time.

The account to the naked eye looks completely open to everything.
Apparently we're still ok to send non UK traffic. But we're not going to .
Could be a few 100 depositors in there that we'll never know about.
Either careless, incompetent or pure disgraceful.
Either way outcome is the same so my advice to anyone is to simply stop promoting regardless of whether or not you've been asked to since there's a good chance your conversions wont show.
I have emailed asking for clarification on the account but don't hold out on getting a response in the near future.
