    Default Life time commissions meaning

Personally I don't trust life time commissions from any affiliate programme. When they offer it, it always looks like it's around a term which indicates they can change it whenever they want. But at least I know not to expect it long term. Which is fine.

Just seeing what others think and if there is a life time commission offer out there anyone completely trusts?

Or untill the casino/ sportsbook close down and get bankupted. For good ganbling company "life-time" payment should be framed between 5-10 years.
Everything changes too dramatically each second/ day.
The best way this issue to be cut always is the drastical drop of 5 % Revenue share, which is the favorite tool of William Hill.

Lifetime is until they cut you or they close operations. That can happen tomorrow, next week, next year, in 2068, etc.

An absolutely meaningless quantity of time, in fact in many cases worse than a fixed contract where at least you can make future plans knowing when it will end.

Perhaps when they want to close you down they just choose a 'lifetime' value that suits them, like the lifetime of a hamster or a spider.

After the theft that was S*yBet's decision to renege on lifetime revenue share and what I'm sure will be the eventual demise of their brand as a result of this heinous crime, it would take a brave and foolish program to attempt the same.

The affiliate channel is massively important to bookmakers, particularly as social media continues to develop and retention becomes equally if not more important than acquisition. Rewarding affiliates for their part in the ongoing success of a program is critical and if that means honouring a lifetime revenue share agreement then that's a small price to pay for being one of the brands that survives the test of time.

I personally trust to lifetime commissions of Bet365.
And then US bookies like Bovada, but they will slash you down to 10%. Then Intertops, but they are poor overall. Then 5dimes, but given current circumstances, we are past-life. Also they do checks about continuous promotion once a year.

But all this can change with a change of owners. Like at Pinnacle. So nothing is granted.

I still hovever see a afuture in 3-15 years when affiliate commissions will be minted into smart contracts, so they will be impossible to avoid. But I believe even after that some kinds of scams will occur. One half of humanity is a cooperation, second half is that we are all cheaters.

It can mean for the duration of time that your players stay at your casinos, until they cut you off for whatever reasons or if they suddenly decide to cease operations.

I got cut from Linesmaker a few years ago after being an affiliate of theirs for about 10 years. I think it was because they were part of Domain Holdings thatmost people did not like the affiliate program. They had a great affiliate manager who was really good to me. I didnt bring in many players, but the ones I brought in were longtime players and I did very well with them.

A new manager came in and within a few months I was lock out of the affiliate website; no email, no call, and no explanation. I was due quite a bit and they refused to meet their obligation to me, although the players were "lifetime". The reason was.......I did not meet the NEW TERMS. It took awhile but they did come through...by persuasion from AFG. LM told Andy from AFG I stopped promoting them and thats why they cut me, but I had screen shots with their links, banners and write ups plastered all over my site and sent them to AFG. I had other proof as well and that helped Andy help me. I always take screen shots so I have proof of who I promote. You never know when you might need them.

The short version of the story is I dont believe there really is a lifetime player unless maybe you are a Super Affiliate who no one would dare drop; I however am not, but I still love this business as much as I did back in 04.

That is quite **** from LM. I would not expect that from them.

Big affiliates deliver a lot of players and to keep riding this for years is hard for everyone. They are in even greater risk once they start to underperform than small affiliates.

So I'd say we all think the same on this, but what I don't get is how "life time commissions" is still a thing when there's no real trust

There are no lifetime commissions. Whatever you do, stay away from the scam affiliate programs that have some kind of minimum player quota. Kindred is one of them. Stay away!

I think you answered to yourself. The life commissions are still a thing because there is no real trust. If there was a real trust they would come with 5 year revenue or player quotas upfront.

This started with the unrealistic revenue share and the fees. What sense is to promote 30, 40 or 70% when that number represents nothing? It is just marketing. And marketing is always a lie. You say something is better than it really is. (Bonus 400%... with 100x WR only on slots, with max win 100... you heard it somewhere right? on your own banners maybe)

What behavior do you expect, if there is no trust and fairness? That the other side will tell you (with respect) "We do not respect you"? That makes no sense. Why would they tell it, when the recent approach works better for them?

Politicians do not treat people with respect, they do their business and keep pretending they do something for people.
Corporations sell some an overpriced and dangerous cr4p to people, but they wrap it with adverts. They lie 24/7.
We affiliates plain lie to gamblers and potential gamblers that they can win. Or we just let hover the information somewhere in the air, waiting for the weak moment of the person. We do not treat the gamblers with respect. We are giving them hope where the hope absolutely is not. We might have our own excuses, like not doing tipster business. Or we are helping gamblers to get money out of casino. We place smallprint that no one reads everywhere. But that is just another dishonest way how to play a mind game.

We are doing the same things that are done to us. It was always like that and always will be. Why should we be surprised by the same tricks that we do to other people? There was a trust in the beginning, but since the relation bookie-affiliate became too asymmetric, keeping the trust is no more optimal and desired.

Yes this industry is now an example of Tragedy of the Commons. It is going downhill and whoever lies more (with few exceptions so far), gets a bigger part of the shrinking cake. In the end the gambling affiliate business will be totally destroyed. But until the bitter end there will be the lifetime deals advertised.
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.

It happened to me with Quasar Gaming & OVO Casino. I have sent those players from Germany. And now they have withdrawn from the German market. And since then I can not get a commission anymore. Great!
    So many players away. Liftime

Lifetime until it makes more financial sense to **** you over is typically how it works heh. It's a gamble as to whether or not you'll make enough off of your players to beat an up front CPA deal.

If I were a super aff and could get 80%+ of a player's lifetime value up front in a CPA, I'd do that instead of rev-share with almost all brands. However, the CPAs most sites offer are **** and it's more valuable to go for lifetime RS.

What a scummy industry bingo is eh?

I have never had anything good come from working with the crooks that run bingo platforms except obviously the money. But how can they escape legally from what they promise and promote? Are they really untouchable or should we sue them? They always stuff you in the end.

Gamesys just told a lot of affiliates the time is nigh, come up with some excuse about government regulations and said they don't think affiliates can keep up with the changes. The problem is been with them nearly two decades and on this lifetime commission.

Now they have locked me out of the system, I either agree to new contract or give up all right to any affiliation.

I'm thinking of suing them, anyone else feel the same?
