Links between sister sites

I see many of you have multiple sites in similar niche.
How do you links between your sites?
A homepage link? Site-wide link? No link at all?
Do you make gwt aware that all sites belong to you or try to avoid connection between the sites?

@Ares if you pretend to get SERP benefits from interlinking, you should only consider linking sites with different c-class IP, in order to not get a negative impact from the G.

Interlinking sites is only going to be a problem it looks spammy. Google knows people often have their own networks. They wont penalize you, but they will probably reduce the effectiveness of links.

I think so. I wouldn't link all my sites together, but perhaps 2 or 3 of the main sites in a non-spammy fashion.

You don't want to link through all of your links if you have 4 sites.
You can say that link 1 will link to link 2 and link 2 link to link 3.
Then you only have one site that link to another site.
It's good for quality backlinks and even if you have high PageAuthority on some of them.

I had 2 links between 2 sister sites, but aftter I read this thread I delete them.

If they are on the same IP and in the same hosting account then I would only link for branded anchor text, that should be fine. If in separate hosting accounts then feel free to use which ever anchor but i wouldnt repeat the same anchor texts on all the linking sites, you can mix between home and sub pages

I dont think there is any harm in interlinking your sites but I would not do sitewide links for obvious reasons, specially if under the same IP. Having said that I dont think Google will penalize you in any way for having a few links from your own properties as long as those links are not manipulative - so avoid doing spammy anchors so to speak

I have over 15 sites and use a hierarchy of linking for all of them. I have 2 main sites that I do not link from at all. With the other sites I will interlink some of them and the best ones link to my two main sites. They all have their own dedicated IP however.

I know people that got penalised for links between sisters sites, even if the content is unique on the sites, I think there's about how unlucky you are, google can be a roullete sometimes, you can win serps by linking to your own websites, or you can by unlucky and look like a spammer.
