HI everyone, my name is Ellen, I just launched my first website http://www.videopokerplayer.com and am very excited about it. Wanted all the suggestions you can give, and would love to do link exchanges with similar sites. I am learning alot the last few weeks and want to thank Cindy for the support and help, and Dean for the endless bugging he has put up with Please feel free to comment on my site, I can take constructive criticism pretty well. If you want to do a link exchange, please email me or post it. I do have one question that I'm having a hard time figuring out... how long to wait for submitting into the search engines, where do I start and how do I do it?? Thanks all!

Ellen, welcome to the gambling portal business, like you I'm too new to this business, my casino portal site, 5 Best Online Casinos, just turned 3 months. I did some optimization for Google so I might help you with your question. As far as Google is concerned submitting will not help as Google will not index your site unless you have at list one link on an indexed site that points to your site. My advice is that you start exchanging links with other sites and hopefully Google will find one of your links and index you. You will be available on Google approximately one month after Google finds your site.

Great advice 5 - in addition your correct about letting google "find" you rather than using the submit link. Hopefully by the time Googs finds you it has indexed some of your links already - giving you a nice start.
