The lotteries exemption passed.
The lotteries exemption passed.
Bachus' withdrawn amendment is being offered again with new language.
Bachus is just bitter. The new amendment narrows who can be barred from getting a license.
The amendment passed.
Another Sherman amendment is up.
Requires key facilities and corporate entities be located in the U.S.
Listening/watching now. My question is: how/why does Bachus know so many 12 year olds? Particularly deviant 12 year olds...
Did Sherman just call the WTO "delicious"?
Another Sherman provision says you have to have a majority of your jobs in the U.S. in order to get a license. And because the U.S. is withdrawing its WTO obligation regarding gambling, this is perfectly legal. If found otherwise, this provision is null and void.
I am disappointed the lotteries are exempt and think they should have to all abide by the same rules and regs.....

Bachus likes the Sherman amendment because he thinks you can't regulate anything if it's locating offshore.
The amendment passed.
Kilroy amendment up now. It mandates a database made available regarding statistic of betting. All data will be anonymous to protect the identities of gamblers. The amendment passed.
Another Bachus amendment is up. He's thanking Frank for the fairness he's show today. He must really want this one.
He wants a list of companies developed that provide unlawful internet gambling.
the amendment also strikes a substantial portion of this bill (I believe), and would turn the bill in a UIGEA enforcement bill instead of a legal framework for online gambling. It's going to be voted down.
He says members will have to explain to voters why they voted for a bill that would allow their 16 and 18 year olds to gamble.
