Default London has no idea what it is in for!!

    Two great things happened today.

Firstly, I was approved by the GPWA guys so Ican now see the whole forum and be a lot more active here and secondly we have finished the CAP Euro site which includes registration, hotel details, etc.

This event will again be massive with all hotels set to fill and even the event itself which has limited capacity so don't waste time leaving it till the last minute and don't worry, we still aren't charging affiliates to attend.

The official press release is below:

CAP Euro: London is officially open
CAP Euro; the number one event for iGaming affiliates is open for registrations
In just 12 months CAP Euro has gone from a late night idea in a Las Vegas club to the biggest event for affiliates in the iGaming industry, and with its one year anniversary approaching the CAP Euro team are planning an even better event for January in London.
CAP Euro has previously taken place in London and Barcelona and both times the turnout from affiliates and operators has surpassed the organiser’s expectations making each event an incredible experience for delegates and operators. Below is just a selection of feed back the organisers received following the Barcelona event:
“Maybe too perfect. Had a great time! And I didn't want to go home
    Affiliate

“I really enjoyed the event, location and city. It was one of the busiest events so far for us and we gained a lot form the trip”
    Affiliate

“Great event! Impressed by the large turnout of affiliates which makes it worthwhile for us operators to attend, as there was lots of business to be done”
    Exhibitor

“I've been to ICE and the Betting Show before, but CAP Euro was by far the most interesting (and productive) event”
    Affiliate

What makes CAP events unique is that they are completely free of charge for affiliates to attend and are centred on not just a dreary expo and conference, but about mixing business with pleasure, and with 3 huge parties, a gala awards night, the affiliate series of poker, key speakers, an open bar in the afternoons and much more, this will be anything but an average event! Lou Fabiano, founder of CAP commented:

“CAP Euro is much more than an industry event, it is a meeting place for affiliates and operators from around the world to network, do business, and have fun in an environment that you can only imagine. When we plan each event we always listen to feedback and plan the event for the affiliates rather than simply profit. This is exactly why we don’t fill the expo room with as many stands as possible, run the conference from 8am to 6pm or charge affiliates to attend. All these small things are what makes CAP Euro a success!”

The next event will be taking place in London immediately after ICEi in the Olympia Conference Centre from Jan 24th – Jan 27th with the highlight being a glamorous awards evening at Chelsea Football club on the Friday night. The venue for both the awards and CAP Euro have limited capacity and based on previous attendance it is very likely they will fill, so affiliates, operators and vendors are strongly advised to register early at www.capeuro.com

If all goes to plan this event should be even bigger than the last two - There is certainly some pressure on us to make it that way! We are talking to some really good speakers for this one so the content should be amazing, and don't worry I am encouraging the programs to sponsor some seriously good parties!

One other thing and I posted this at CAP, if you haven't booked your hotel, book soon because the official ones will be full soon.

Really good travel bargain here posted by bankrollboost at CAP and Graham at PAW -

For those interested, British Airways has a great promotion on until the 20th for people coming from some parts of Canada. Free hotel (1 night per person in your party) + 199 each way. (Hilton Olympia is in the hotel list)

Certainly was a bargain! I also find these guys tend to do some really cheap deals for us Brits to Canada - Not sure if it is good teh other way round but worth looking www.flyzoom.com

    Question

I have few questions regarding this event?

    1. During the registration process I was prompted for my “Cap” username. As far as I know don’t have one.

    2. Would any GPWA member care to share? PM me.

    3. Are the ATM machines in London compatible with Canadian Banks?

    4. What is the weather like in January?

At this point I am looking forward to attending. The airfare from Canada is ridiculous cheap.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

I will try an answer some of your questions - Others may be able to answer better on the other ones:

    1. During the registration process I was prompted for my “Cap” username. As far as I know don’t have one.

Just put your GPWA one - It just saves us time checking who are affiliates and who aren't

    2. Would any GPWA member care to share? PM me.

Not sure what this question is unless it relates to question 1 - Or are you talking accomedation?

    3. Are the ATM machines in London compatible with Canadian Banks?

Someone will be able to help you with this but FYI it works in reverse I could use my cards in all the Canadian ATMS - Also don't know about your bank but mine charges for taking money out each time but doesn't for using it over a counter or in a bar/restaurant and just about everywhere takes cards in London and often for as little as a few pounds so it may be worth doing that instead

    4. What is the weather like in January?

UK weather is v hard to predict - I can tell you it won't be sunny hot. It could be snowy, dull, freezing, sunny and cold or rainy - Not sure where you are in Canada but it probably won't be as cold as there. As it is a city it doesn't often go that far below freezing

    Thumbs up

Thank you Alex I will be attending. I was wondering if anyone would consider sharing accommodations? Booking a room is quite difficult when I don’t use credit cards. Please PM if interested.

The weather sounds good compared to what I would be facing in Canada. I could almost get away with wearing shorts lol.

I called my bank no problems using the ATM's in London.

    thanks

Looking forward to this trip as well, Stockholm, Sweden to London, England.... that is a nice and short trip. But wouldn't really mind a warm spot as well... but as long as the beer doesn't freeze I think we all will have a really good time as always at CAP

    Cheers
