Looking for a good Popup plugin for wordpress

Hi all,

I am looking for a good pop up plugin for my wordpress site. I have tried popup domination which, although it looks great, has given me all kinds of technical problems. So far they have not responded to my requests for help, so I am thinking about switching over.
It would need to be one with pre made templates and Aweber functionality. Anything you can recommend?

Hi! Why you bother with pop-ups? Web visitors dislike this kind of ads. Personally, when I visit site and pops or similar staff distract me, I immediately leave such site.
I will never ever use such stupid way of advertisement, on any of my sites.
Next year, I will also reduce the number of banners on my sites. Picture and text communications works the best.
All that flashing staff do not convert now so good, like years before.

In the past I've used the Wordpress plugin "Layered Pop". It worked fine. But I don't know if it has Aweber functionality.

Don't use popups, they'll destroy your website. Use a less intrusive way of advertising.

Don't use That As a user I Don't like to go On those site have lot of Pop ups as Christiaan says you can use "Layered Pop"

Seems to be a huge misunderstanding of popups.

If you are genuinely offering something of value to your traffic, then a popup is not a bad thing. If someone is completely new to online poker and are on a strategy page - then a popup pimping a Strategy ebook would be very tailored to the traffic. It's different if they are beong shown a new sign up bonus offer as their motivation was to read on poker strategy.

I've used Popup Domination (pretty decent) in the past and currently use a custom coded one.

Thanks all. I don't mind popups myself, as long as they add value. I will use it in a (as much as possible) non intrusive way and not so much in an "in-your-face-as-soon-as-you-visit-the-page" kind of way. And if it works, then fine. If it doesn't, not too much harm done. It is all about testing what works, right?

I had been looking into the Sumo App myself so might try that one out.

apparently nobody from popup haters ever seen porn, never downloaded torrent, never streamed anything...
those sites would be nonexistent or full of even worse malware than now if there were no popunders/popups

for lower quality generic sites, especially from widening grey zone, it is usually the only way to make money

and no... they are not losing visitors;but what happens is that those popunders or layer ads cause banner blindness so there is a justified hate against those sites..but that is how life is

There were many people here suggesting not to use a popup. Of course it annoys people, but will they really leave your site? No, they are used to popups and close or click them. You should definitively test it by yourself if the hassle for your visitors is worth the $$ return for you.

And thank you Sweetbet for the hint to the Acurax popunder plugin, I will test it on one of my websites (in addtion to a popup plugin .

One free popup plugin for WP that works for me is "Modal Dialog". Another one, which I also use, is "Scroll Triggered Box", which is a bit less annoying. And then there are paid popup plugins which also work great, for example Ninja Popups which you can buy at Codecanyon for just 20$.
