malfunction subscribed email notifications

Subscribe thread update notifications are not being forwarded but private PM’s are? My user panel is set to receive instant. Make it easy to follow subscribed threads.

I noticed this a little over a year ago as being something sporadic. A few months it works then nothing.

Lately I been beta testing Bobo Filter, minus the tech jargon, a self-learning email retrieval system. I tested out a hundred different types of scenarios and still the same result no thread update notification.

So I pushed Bobo to the side and used a different email delivery system and got the same results. I have been working on this since Sunday.

Aside from the obvious the Email could be held back/ delayed/routed some where else/ is there any other explanations?

I noticed this occurs quite frequently with Vbulliten

Could be unrelated, but the subscription won't continue to send an email if you don't revisit the thread.

So if you are subscribed to this thread and someone replies, you'll receive one notification - if you don't visit the forum again you won't receive any more notifications until you do.

At least that's what it says in the notifications I receive - anyone else?

Could be? It would be impossible for me to revisit every thread.

Yeah I agree, I like being able to review the responses quickly in my email and then visit again if I want to contribute more.

I wonder if this is something that could be changed?

Good question because I like to remain involved in threads I think are important. Or at least be update to any additions to the thread.

I think with GPWA the replies are sent daily..

So if someone replies, you will get the email, then you wont get another one until a new day has passed and someone replies.

So for example:

If someone replies to this thread, I will receive an email. If I don't visit the thread for the rest of the day, but 10 people reply today, I won't receive emails for their replies.

If someone then posts a reply tomorrow I will receive that in my email, but will then not receive any more replies for that day until I visit the forum. etc etc

This is what I have noticed.
