Default Men Are Really Deep Thinkers!

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so I sat down and had a cold beer. The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking. My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing and I said 'nothing'. The reason I said that instead of saying 'just thinking' is because she would have said 'about what'. At that point I would have to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics which would lead to other questions.

Finally I thought about an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts? Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts.

Well, after another beer, and some heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with the answer to that question. Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby; and here is the reason for my conclusion. A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child." On the other hand, you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts." I rest my case.

    Time for another beer.

Funny, though I can't imagine it's true. Just because women are almost genetically programmed to want children doesn't say anything about the pain levels.
I am 100% sure that giving birth is far more painful, but at least there's a reward at the end. The only reward a kick to the nuts gives you is the thoughts of revenge afterwards.

Believe it or not, there is an explanation for it.

When you have a baby, oxytocin, beta-endorphins and noradrenaline are released into your brain to make you forget the pain. It makes sense really. Why would you want to have another baby if it was that bad unless you don't remember it?

Thankfully these hormones are not released BEFORE you get knocked up

I had pancreatitis a while back, doctors said the pain is similar to child birth, I've also been kicked in the nuts (quite a few times) and pancreatitis was worse, much worse.

So in conclusion, child birth is worse (and a lot more expensive)

hahahahahaha. I'm glad someone is thinking about the pain that women need to endure while giving birth!

Men usually demonstrate how deep thinkers they are... I just enjoy seeing how they choose models for the conferences, etc... its quite funny to work with guys!

Ixian I actually had to laugh out loud when I read your post. Renee thanks for your explanation. Having been through childbirth, and knowing the medical explanation for why you "forget" the pain, I actually think my brain didn't release enough of those chemicals!!!

Ixian, also your ball ache hurts for like 3 minutes. Childbirth lasts hours and sometimes days (my first labour was 42 hours!) so women for sure get the raw end of the deal in this argument!!

The reason why women say "It might be nice to have another child" is because we are wired to forget about the pain otherwise nobody would want to go through it again.

That's part of the point, Maria. You get kicked in the balls, you will NEVER forget it!

Correct ladies...women are designed to forget the pain we endure during child birth. Its like amnesia, you know you went through it but cant remember the details or the pain. I was in labor for 8 hrs and needed an emergency op right after giving birth. I remember wanting to kill the next doctor who just had to examine me one more time but not being able to move. LOL almost 2 years later and its all a distant memory.

Men would probably say that getting kicked in the nuts is far more painful because I seriously doubt you will make it through child birth. Thankfully my hubby didnt pass out during the whole process..LOL.

    Regards,
    Rebecca

I wish we would have your suppression mechanism. Just to be clear - I am convinced childbirth is far more painful.

True but on the other hand there worse things in life that are far more painful also.... Child birth may be one of the most painful endurance but it does come with endless rewards so its all worth it.

There are many others who are suffering and going to through worse pain so at the end of the day when I think of it this way, well...its not so bad.

    Regards,
    Rebecca.

There are many other factors to consider.
-Whether the kicker wear shoes or not (and what type of shoes)
-How tall are you compared to the kicker? (If they are more than 20 cm taller, the kick's effectiveness diminishes, as they can't follow through with the kick. This applies for shorter people as well, as they can only hit with the end of the kick)
-The type of pants you have (jeans vs sweatpants)
-If you even wear pants (oh god)
-How trained the kicker is (if you are a pro footballer, I would expect you to hit it more cleanly than if you were a basketball player)
-Availability of ice nearby (cooling off the area quickly may reduce pain significantly)
-Availability of a gun nearby (blowing your brains off may be the only humane way to go)
-Level of moisture in the air (sweaty balls may lower the friction between foot and sack)
