HI Everyone..

So I have been getting a little Flack from affiliates and affiliate manages alike all be it in jest and mostly humorous banter because I am posting a lot of info these days ..Some is very topical and current and some just a bit silly and non informational fun stuff and because I am a worrier by nature i just wanted the Forums Input ..

There are a few things here that I want to mention and then well its up to you as the forum to decide .

1) What I post is meant to break the mundane and boring same old same old stuff. We as affiliate managers and affiliates live extremely hectic and busy life's so isn't it good to break this flow and take a breath .. read something that is funny , Interesting , Nonsense really just take 5 Minutes just to relax and do something that isn't work related ? Some People Smoke .. Some Drink .. I post its part of my routine.

2) FastTrack Affiliates is Growing and Growing Fast just like our Brands so as an affiliate manager its part of my job to keep the program and the brands in the public eye if i dont do this or try at least then why pay me my salary ? We as humans are very forgetful bunch if you dont keep things fresh and in peoples faces people forget about things quickly. So along with Facebook and Social media GPWA is one way to keep my content and of course me in view of the people that matter affiliates.

3) I dont force anyone to read anything I post it is your choice and your freedom as individuals to choose what information you want to read and what you dont want to waste time on . I in no way want to offend or upset anyone that's not what this is about its a Pure PR exercise something different for you guys .

So here is My Poll.

Vote Yes .. if you would like me to continue to post the Silly , Non Factual Information and General articles I come across that make this a lighter place to be.

Or

Vote No . If you just want me to Post Information that is only Program Specific ..The same Boring , Mundane Information you get bombarded with Daily by affiliate managers and programs.

I will do my best to take the feedback you give here and act on it ..

Yes - you should continue to get involved ... and keep your humour ...
No - it probably does not need to be daily (hourly?) posts with links to inane newspaper articles.

If you've got something funny, interesting, insightful to say then please continue do so ... (you often do)
But daily links to so-so and/or poor quality and not really clever media link bait ... no not really ...

Bring your A-game to the board - and share YOUR thoughts and observations - not repost "ho-hum / meh" pieces.

Yes - keep posting. Thanks for the effort you're putting into this.

Try to keep the number of posts decent though, in order to give people time to digest and discuss the subject. You can see a lot of people got involved with your threads, so they do appreciate the work break, but they objected the quantity.

Yes - Its enjoyable (and it helps with concentration) getting away from work for 5 minutes every now and then and some of your threads help do that, lots of people have been getting involved in some of them.

No - Logging on each morning to look for genuine issues where you may be able to help and finding the first page is flooded with fun posts (some with no replies which probably means there are too many of them). At that point I log off for a few hours then re-check. It may cause me and others to miss relevant posts where we could help.

I simply don't have time to scroll through pages of fun threads. As much as I'd love to, Martyn would kick my arse .

I get why you're active here and its a good thing, just slow down a tad .

I have been lucky to spend some quality time with Miles/Myron and although we didn't do much biz wise I always enjoy anything he posts.Reality is not much happening in forums like the good ole days so it is not like we have 200 other posts to read so I say no censorship and post away :O)

I think Ste said it best tbh. I spend a small percentage of my day here and when I have to go through all the funny threads as quickly as possible to find the important stuff I do miss things. That makes me wonder if affiliates are missing the important stuff I'm posting too. As affiliate managers the easiest thing for us to do to get our info out to as many affs as possible is to post it here. If it's not easy to find, it's a waste of time IMO.

I like funny stuff. There is nothing better than a good laugh. I just kinda agree with Gooner in the sense that if you start a thread, post your own thoughts about the topic. Anyone can just copy and paste the internet. Give us a reason to read yours. If you're posting your own thoughts too, the banter will come easier. It's really hard to play along when the text posted isn't yours and that's when the posts end up with no replies.
