Morality of the industry

I never cared what others thought. I had a bookmakers license at 21 and stood on the tracks for many years. Been involved with betting all my life and was involved in many of these internet start ups you see today. In my daughters school their are several bookmakers including one of the owners of Pinnacle (or was until recently), the big boy from bwin and several more.

It´s entertainment and we all have the right to choose (or should). It´s called democracy. Because your parents and friends don´t like it is irrelevent or should be. I personally don´t care for people who smoke or drink to much. If i see someone overweight it might cross my mind that they are lazy because they don´t exercise-----------Then it all comes back to me. It´s there business and not mine. People who are righteous can go and bla bla themselves!

What about the morality of certain politicians? Haha... - Gambling has been a part of society for hundreds, thousands of years in different ways. If I tell people what I do (and I am not ashamed to mention it), they are rather surprised and interested.

I guess it depends who asks, when my old colleagues from a wed design agency i used to work for ask i just say that i am an affiliate for casino sites and other industries, when other people i don't know ask i usually say online marketing, only to avoid having to explain what SEO and affiliate marketing is and getting into a long conversation about it. If im in the pub and someone random starts chatting to me and asking me what i do ( this happens a lot) and just say "web stuff" as again here i cant be arsed getting into a long convo explaing what i do to someone i dont intend to form a friendship with or speak to ever again..if its just chit chat i say web stuff and move on to talk about the weather and stuff

Same here, it's all about who I'm talking to, but to randoms in a bar it's definitely easier to say web designer or web stuff and move the conversation on quickly, than get into 'that conversation' where I'm explaining to someone the workings of affiliate marketing and getting 20 questions cos they want to do it themselves.

Even saying 'web designer' is annoying cos they always want me to build them a website as everyone has a business idea now or some mate who runs a hobby website and needs help. So yeh, I might start saying 'web stuff, ok it's porn now **** off, next topic', that could work well?
