Wow, lots of news this week!
This new ban on paid gaming in India is a huge step backward. Instead of protecting players, it will for sure drive people toward illegal and unregulated gambling platforms, creating far more risks. Cutting off regulated operators not only threatens thousands of jobs, as seen with MPL’s layoffs, but also harms India’s digital economy and stifles free commerce. A better approach would be smart regulation, not blanket prohibition.


The Dutch regulator’s new requirement for an exit plan with every license application highlights how increasingly restrictive the market has become. At this pace, the Netherlands risks turning into a dead zone for operators...
