This issue doesn't really apply to me, so I'm asking from a general interest in the way casinos track players. Please tell me to MYOB if I've misunderstood things.

I'm confused as to how Dimma knew that a player should be credited to him when the casino hadn't logged the connection. If the casino had logged the connection, then I'm having difficulty in understanding the issue. I've also made the assumption that because Dimma is aware of the sum involved, that it is in his affiliate record.

Is there some way of affiliates recording signups that I don't know?

    Hi,
what happens many times is that the affiliate has a community of users, which they can track, and keep contact with, thus receiving notices from them when they signed up, and what their user names are.
Once having this info, the affiliate then contacts us with the user name, trying to track its activities. All we can check is if that user name had signed up under the affiliate's tracking code or not.
I can only assume this is what happened in the case discussed in this forum.
    Hope this clarifies things.

Indeed, people who run forums or communities, profit from speaking to their users, IF REALLY PROMOTING the casino.
that's how many of the poker rooms work today, and they are doing an amazing job!

    Shelley,

Sorry for the delay in repyling to your post.

Yes I have indeed received an email from Shay on Sunday saying I will
be paid the full $200 for this player, but she is unsure when this payment
    is going to happen.
Can you tell me when this payment will be made?

Also in reply to the other post about how we knew about this sale, the
user mentioned to us during conversations about other matters that they had signed up with 888.com via our site, so we were obviously concerned
that nothing appeared in our stats.

Hopefully this matter will now be resolved , and as soon as I receive
payment I will post it here.

Still no reply or payment has been received from 888.com, despite
    numerous promises from them.

Clearly anyone reading this can see how the affiliate program from
888.com is run, and would be well advised to steer clear of them.

They will come up with excuse after excuse to deny paying their
affililites, then if that does not work they will make promise after promise
to pay but of course never do.

    Fictionnet,

Yes, the update is that they have replied by email saying that they
are not paying the commission as they are looking into the matter with
    their banks wire transfer system.

Just seems like more excuses to me. Their position seems to change daily.

This is the email from them a few weeks ago:

    Marion,

According to the Bank's response, I think that it would be best if you could supply an alternative payment method, such as NETeller or a Wire account details, and I'll be sure to transfer you the money ASAP and get this whole issue over and done with.

The payment will be for a full $200.

Please send me the following details:

If you would rather be paid by NETeller, please supply the following details:

    NETeller account name:
    NETeller Account ID:
    NETeller email address:

If you would rather be paid by a Wire transfer, please supply the following details:

    Account Name:
    Bank Name:
    Address of Bank:
    Account number:
    Swift Code:**

** - Swift code if your bank is situated in Canada
    - Sort Code - in UK
    - Routing Number - in US.

Please make sure that your payment details are PROPERLY UPDATED, FULL AND CORRECT.

In addition, please also be advised that payment will be pending until we receive an reply confirming your payment details.

Neteller - check if account is active and able to receive the funds.

Wire payment - check a bank account details and ability to receive the currency you want.

    Best regards and talk soon,

I supplied them NETTELLER details then heard nothing, despite numerous
emails. Then eventually they emailed to say they were still discussing
the issue with their bank !

If ever there was an example of how NOT to run an affiliate program,
    then this is it !

    Thumbs down

    I can't belive what I'm reading.

I'm in process of starting a casino and poker portal and have thought od 888.com and casino-on-net.com as one of the major companies and have put them in all my plans.

But after reading this thread to the end I just can't belive the un-professionalism of their affiliate program, excuse after excuse, promise after promise, then some periods of no reply and like that in cirlces!!!

Please can Dimma555 or someone other update this thread, how it finished?

Does anyone else has problems with 888.com affiliate program?

    Thank you for your impressions.

My biggest problem with them is the fact you have to change your password every 90 days... And their attitude when you complain about it to them.

    Thanks,

Yes, after reading around I did come to conclusion that their customer service has an attitude.

So I think afterall I will try with them.
