Content content content. Keep adding good content and the rankings will come. Be careful building links however. Google has really been cracking down on buying links. You do need some links but be careful where you get them. If you add good content you should get some good natural links.

Thank you UPB for responding to my thread with the helpful information. Since the site is a sports specific site does the content have to be about daily fantasy sports or can it be about sports in general?
The name of my site is now in my signature if anyone wants to check it out and comment. Thanks in advance.

I think it's a reasonable basic start, but looking at home, reviews, and bonuses pages - keywords used too many times, it reads like what you're trying to achieve (ie get found for 'Daily Fantasy Sports' by saying it lots of times).
The content is on the light side, there's more you can say...and I'm not 100% on this but recheck your 'is it legal' section. I'm pretty sure there are a handful of states where it isn't, and you should mention those (you can even talk about Iowa's current attempts to make it legal there...comes back to content and ways you can add more).
Scan through your content for stuff like this...''to insure you get the best possible signup bonus possible'' I'd say ensure...and don't use 'possible' twice in 4 words. This might seem a harsh one to pick on...but many readers would pick up on stuff like this.
Thanks for responding. I will definitely follow this advice. I appreciate you comments and help.

I am still working on the site. If anyone wants to take a look and let me know what you think that would be great.

Itīs always a challenge to rank in google but content is definitly king. Nevertheless you should try to build up good quality links and avoid things like link exchange. This could definitly hurt your rankings. Also duplicate content could be a big issue not only external duplicate but internal. You can check your site with siteliner if there are any internal duplicate content issues. I have also just looked through your site btw. it looks very good to me - clean and easy to read. This is always a good thing. If you have pages with content always try to give your visitor something to do something to click on. And I have to agree there are sure too many keywords in the text I would definitly reduce the amount.
Interesting site, I bought a few domains for fantasy basketball several years back but never got around to doing anything with them.
I think you're off to a good start. Do you plan on putting up any news or tips for the individual sports? That might be a good way to get people coming back to the site if there is fresh content on the site for them to read. Anyway best of luck mate![]()

My goal is to have have it at the top or near the top when someone searches daily fantasy sports on google. From the advice given on here it seems like I am off to a good start. I will continue to add content (hopefully quality) and build up good quality links once I know the best way to do that. Is there anything else I can do now to get my site up there? How long does it typically take to get near the top if I even have a chance?

I also plan on adding a couple more fantasy sites this weekend on my site besides the three I have. I'm hoping that will help.

If you want to know what it takes to get on page 1 for 'daily fantasy sports' just search it yourself and you'll see the competition - Draftstreet, Draftday, Fanduel, Wikipedia etc etc
But don't let that disheartern you - if you don't try you have no chance, right.
Google will always be listing the main fantasy sports providers, Fanduel etc (unless they reverse the 'brand' focus of search results)...but there is a chance to get ahead of others.
If you keep adding content you have increasing chances of getting found for longer tail searches.
Still a work in progress. If anyone has any other comments/suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

Still plugging away, but not seeing any results yet as far as people signing up, etc. Maybe its still too early for that. Does anyone know of people doing fantasy sports websites? Is it possible to make any money in this industry?
