You've gone for Play Fantasy Sports Daily - but it doesn't appear that you update the site daily, weekly or even monthly? It looks like a very static site to me where you've covered only the basics.

Exactly what sort of reader / customer do you think that you are going to convert?

An experienced reader surely knows about the different sites out there, while a novice reader gets very little useful information about fantasy sports betting from your site and probably goes elsewhere for more detailed information and strategies before deciding to sign up.

Who exactly are you pitching this site at ?

Thanks for responding. I update is quite often adding posts in the news section at least once a week. Right now the news section is located in the bottom right of the page. I probably need to make that easier to access.

I also update the different contests coming up in each review. For example if you go to DraftKings review you will see that I mention upcoming contests.

I am hoping to get someone new to daily fantasy sports to sign up through my site. I can definitely add more detailed information and strategies to my website if you think that will help.

Again it is supposed to be for anyone new to daily fantasy sports that hasn't played before.

Ah ... I didn't see that news link - that is one of the things I was looking for. That content is much better and has potential to generate signups in my opinion - if you included direct links from the content to the site offering the competition .. eg .. April 25th news show have FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftStreet as links.

I didn't notice the DraftKings as being particularly topical - as the top two events where Aug 26th and May 30th ... you are talking about Daily Fantasy Sports ... so the top mention should be for the event on May 8th.

I think it will HELP especially for newer / novice players. If you added a new strategy article weekly (or twice a week) then you would quickly build up a good content base - and also encourage return / repeat visitors who are more likely to use your links.

    ------------

Perhaps I'm biased towards regular content but that's because I know it works ... my main site GoonersGuide.com gets 95% of it's volume through posting of daily sports betting plays. Without that - we'd be just another review site.

I really appreciate your advice and help. I have now added a recent posts section on the side. These were the posts that were in the news section. Now they are right there on the home page for people to see. They will have some strategy and more details in them.

I will fix the topical part right now and do it that way going forward. Do you suggest I delete it once the contest date has passed or do I just leave it in there?

I will definitely add a strategy article once or twice a week.

I just visited your site. Talk about content wow. Really nice site you have there. Thanks again for responding and please let me know what you think now that I have just updated my site.

    Hi everyone

I just googled "daily fantasy sports reviews" and my site has made it to the first page!!! It is at the bottom, but it is still pretty exciting. I also had one person make a real money account in May which is also a first.

My questions is do I just keep adding content to the site to make it continue to climb on google? Is there anything specific I should be doing. I updated the bonus, rewards, and banking's pages today and added a new post which can be found under "recent posts". How often should I be adding these posts to continue to climb on google? Thanks for any advice and help.

Yep it came up number 11 for me. Well done.

Most likely you're only going to progress from here by either one (or more) of the sites above you getting some sort of penalty (or doing something else wrong in their SEO) and you move up by default, or by you getting some good incoming links. Adding content should at least keep your position, but bear in mind some of those below you could also make a move upwards.

Either way, of course you need to be adding good content. Every piece is (theoretically) another piece of linking material, and creates more value for your visitors.

I'd be trying to add content daily, but that may be impractical depending on your situation. If it isn't easy to do that, then at least maintain the schedule you've been following till now. Clearly that's worked to an extent.

    Hi feelthenoize,

Just checked out your site - this would be a good fit for BetAmerica, one of the clients we manage at Income Access. They have a daily fantasy sports product called FanEx that might be of interest to you. Will follow up with you via PM.

Thanks guys. I'm going to keep adding as much quality content as I can.

I am thinking about having a section with picks of the day or something similar. I cannot do it everyday though so I'm not sure it would work. And it would just be something general.

As someone that plays a lot of fantasy league, the main resources I use are Rotoworld for news items and injury updates and basketballmonster for player rankings. It's probably worth looking at those two as a good reference and get some ideas for things you could include on your site.

You could think about adding in more items that fantasy league people would search for that you don't need to continuously update and are just once per season type of things.
E.g. a Schedule Grid - people will often search for either a spreadsheet or a webpage they can bookmark with team's weekly schedules to help them set their lineups.

Thanks Chaumi. I mentioned to my partner about making it easier to sign up for one of the sites through our site. For example on the homepage. How do you guys feel about that?

Personally I'd be cautious about adding affiliate links to a ranked page...I'd probably link to another page I wasn't worried about and try to convert from there. Must admit though I don't have any direct experience that would prove it's a bad idea, just read some stuff that suggests it has had a negative effect for some people. Of course though, there might have been other reasons that all came together to affect their rankings.

Hopefully you'll get some more expert opinion on this from other members..or maybe some ideas on how you could negate it if it might be a problem.

Either way it's probably a good idea to approach it cautiously. If you make any changes to your ranked pages then do it slowly, and monitor for effect. That way you can (in theory) roll back if anything looks to cause any negative change.

Thanks chaumi. I have forwarded your response to my partner who is the "expert" in that area.
