New Google Update

There's a lot of chatter around the latest google update that happened starting saturday. Seems to have impacted a wide range of industries.

My sites got a hit - knocked down a few pages. This is considering that I operate websites in many different non-gambling areas also.

Anyone else experienced the same?

Yes, the exact same thing happened to me over the weekend. These Google Updates are always constant and are usually in our favour. They sure make a massive difference.

I see a slight increase in traffic but nothing in terms of rankings I can spot

Yes, my sites in turbulence since 13 March. Lost ~ 50-60% traffic

Damn! That is a lot of traffic to lose.

Also, I wonder if I spoke too soon. My traffic today is very choppy. Not like the smooth curves I'm accustomed to seeing play out. Lots of fits and starts. and looks like it's going to be a low traffic day to boot. Weird. I hope it reverses

Yea mine is pretty up and down for a while now. Thought it was the new normal or google figuring my site out which is quite new. Do things normally settle after an update?

Not anymore.. its constantly changing, one minute Google will favour high authority detailed sites, then will switch to cookie cutter EMD's with low quality english generic pages.. you never know
