New Google update?

There may be 3 ways of looking at this....

Either.....

They knew/know they aren't ready...so have pushed back a bit

They planned it all along....knew that even those interested in playing ball might struggle to score...so announce it as May, get as many as possible as advanced as possible, then delay for the stragglers

They're setting the scene so that no one is going to be able to say 'WTF have you done to my site, you never warned me' etc etc (well actually the evidence suggests that they are not too bothered about those sorts of comments/accusations anyway)


But all in all, another indicator that they do mean business.

I would have focused on other projects had this been further out... Google has caused me to prioritize incorrectly... nothing new I suppose.

Semrush Sensor showing no major movement either, nothing seems to have moved on the terms I track yet. They did say it would be a 2-part update though, we shall see if anything changes in the next few days as these take 2 weeks to fully roll out.

There are small vibrations. Especially in the blog section of the site. But they have been there for about a month. Different niches are catching on... We're watching

Things seem to be on the move now, semrush sensor showing significant movement and I'm also showing an increase in traffic for the last 6 hours or so. Not much point looking at rankings yet as they will likely be bouncing around for a few days yet, then we have part 2 of this update coming.

I can also affirm to seeing an increase in my traffic this week, but it's not much. It’s certainly better than it was at this time last month.

I continue to use a method that does not consider SEO as the main focus.

It's all about picking up the "long tail" and building more sites.

Even if the number of accesses is small, it will lead to a contract.

Moreover, it is not affected by SEO, and is stable.

We see some movements but nothing big to be honest. But lets a wait 1-2 weeks longer.

Minor movements here but nothing out of the norm from typical fluctuations from day to day. Perhaps this change is setting the foundations for all hell to break loose in July.
