I love everyone's new years resolutions

I am not normally one for setting resolutions as I can't normally keep them, especially if I say about working out! That fails after the first week!!

This year, I told my husband to write a list of things he would like to do. Simple things, to big things, such as see X band play live, or learn a new language, or travel the world on a world cruise etc. Anything from really small to really big and that we will try to do one thing at least every single year from his list and my list. Once the kids get older as well I want them to start thinking about it and the things they would like to experience / see / do in their lives, so that we can make their dreams come true as well. Then depending on the year you are having, you can pick one or two of the things to try to achieve.
Everything depends on your health, wealth and family situations, so realistically for me, setting something in January might not happen till later in the year or at all and I don't want to be disheartened by it.

2014 will see me get to down to the gym more often along with other outdoor exercise and my boyfriend and I plan to buy and move into our own place.

@ball2win - I am just seeing you mention alexa ... unless anything has changed, Alexa rankings can only ever measure the traffic to a site from people who have the "Alexa toolbar" installed in their browser and these people are usually internet marketers. If you are using Alexa to prove that your site gets traffic during negotiations send a screen shot of your Google Analytics which displays your UV and V, Pageviews, time on site etc or Qunb (its free). UNLESS you are using Alexa for other reasons....

So Cliché, but join the gym.

After 3 years out with an injury I started going infrequently in December, need to get the motivation back and make sure I go at least 3 times a week. BTW Renee I understand where your coming from when the gym was a regular fixture in my life, January was a nightmare you couldn't get to any thing in the gym because of the new years resolution guys joining, come Feb it was empty again.

I'm hoping I stick at it this time because I really am getting fat haha.

Stop being so reliant on revshare income I've built up over the years and starting generating lots of new players for new programs.
    Drop 1 1/2 stone.
Build up some retail affiliate sites for extra income and not being 100% reliant on gambling.

A great thing I was just thinking about while wondering about the new year decision making, is that any failure I had this year is simply another opportunity to begin again in the new year, but this time more intelligently

    1) To stop promoting all the old firms I have given shelf space to for years but that I would never have promoted if I knew then what I know now. These are brands that have miraculously failed to make any proper money in all this time. Ones getting the chop include all 888 brands and all bwin brands promoted via the bwinpartypartners platform. Keep my players because you probably have already. Less is more.
    2) This should cheer many people up - to post less on this forum.

To be honest, if the conference wasn't in February I could probably really get into it and compete in March, but even just 1 week away and being on a plane for 24 hours twice and eating food that I haven't prepared myself etc will put everything out. So I think September is a more realistic goal and it will give me time to build even more and cut better.

That is such a good idea! I think I will be doing that with my other half when we get home today. He is big on stuff like that so it will be a nice change.

Hahah - make some small goals and do what you need to in order to reach them. Frequent goals are what keep the "motivation" - I use quotation marks because after a short time it becomes habit. Motivation doesn't last so you need something bigger than that to keep going.

Make yourself accountable to someone too. That will help keep you in check. Make it a goal to post your entire week in that exercise thread we have going. If you don't do anything we can all give you **** about it. It will make it fun for us too

    Professional

    1. Branch out into sports betting & slots, diversifying away from bingo just slightly.

    2. Begin taking two days per week "off" (as in no computer / online work what so ever on those days).

    3. Implement a promotion system that rewards programs accordingly for paying on time with better positioning. Likewise, rewarding programs (who do not pay on time without offering explanation IN ADVANCE of late payment dates) with less exposure or total removal.

    4. Increase avg monthly income by 75%+ compared to 2013.

    5. Attend an affiliate conference.

    Personal

    1. Make more "quality" family time.

    2. Spend 8 hours per week on the football pitch.

    3. 10% reduction in body weight.

    4. Implement & follow a healthy diet.

    5. All vacations in recent history have been either "working vacations" or visiting relatives. I'd like to take a family vacation that is longer than two days and does not involve "visiting a family member" or work.

    6. Start a personal blog.

    7. Set time aside to watch the World Cup.

I love it! Two quotes from Thomas Edison that I think are great:

"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."

"I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Those are great goals for this upcoming year, I hope you all work hard to maintain your goals and not lose motivation!

A trick I use is that I write them on a white board so I can look at it everyday so I dont forget!

    Have a great 2014!

That's an excellent resolution. I'd love to have a nice retail website, but I have no idea what programs to join, how to structure it, etc.

not to register a new domain is very good I´ll take this one as well! It goes along with my decision for 2014 that I will be definitly be more focused.
I was wasting a lot of time with unimportant details.

I do really do any new years resolutions, but I am planning on losing a bit of the beer belly that's started to appear (ok ok, grow) over the past few months. Nothing drastic though, just exercise more (currently I only go to the gym once or twice a week) and cut out things like soda and afternoon snacking. This decision is mainly based on christmas excesses sending me over the edge rather than the stereotypical new years detox...

In terms of the business I'm planning on further reducing the number of brands I work with (I started to do this in 2013 and want to continue cutting it down in 2014), and then just keep growing my igaming network.

We also have a series of mainstream projects (local information and travel, mainly) lined up for 2014 that will be made possible by my wife coming on board full time.

I have decided to phone my friends and relatives regularly and keep in touch...I have lost many due to this bad habit of not keeping in touch.

Just wondering now that its 4 days into the new year how many resolutions have been enacted and how many have already hit the skids (I hope not many). Just remember a new years resolution is for the new year, it's not make or break in just the first few days, just try and make it happen this year!

I did intend to stop register so many domains impulsively.
I ended up registering one at 0.30am on new years day after I came up with an idea for a site, and 3 more domains since.
