Newbie. Question.

Hello dear Webmasters.
(sorry for bad english)

I am a newbie in a gambling lounge, but for a few days I have been read a lot of about the market of services in this sphere.

Inside this forum there are a lot of helpful information with which help I think any interested person can begin the business. I have some experience being webmaster and many ideas which I want to realize in gambling. As far as I know traffic - the basic driving mechanism in any internet business. Did you know addresses of the following websites (i have tried forum`s search but it failed):

1. 1) big gamble traffic toplists, circle jerks, link lists ;
   2) traffic resources listings;
   3) gambling traffic exchanges ;
   4) where to buy gambling traffic ;
   5) other sites relating to how increase website visitors number ;

I think this links will be usefull for all current and future webmasters.

Add money to the equation and you have a problem. Click fraud is rife. Forget the gambling traffic toplists. The are a few honest traffic resellers out there but you need some guidance to find them and even their traffic is difficult to convert.

So where to start is actually with a forum like SEO Chat. The GPWA will give you more user specific info on the gambling industry but SEO Chat is a leading forum for Search Engine optimisation.

Buying traffic - I know that many will baulk at advising on this topic, many more are totally cynical, having been burned time and time again.

My choice is CasinoTrade. They sell traffic and are, I am pretty sure, the best exit exchange around.

Pay per click. If you are going to advertise into Europe (non USA), you can look into the main search engines for pay per click advertising.

I am going to leave it to the GPWA members who sell traffic to give you details about themselves.

Simply put though, optimise your sites for the search engines and spend time, effort, and money getting inbound links and improving your site. Will take more than 6 months to get going (a guess) but it will produce the best results in the long run.

Brian is right. You will find many mixed feeling in regards to targeted traffic. I use the traffic I sell regularly. Sometime it does well, sometimes it doesn't. It depends largely on what you happen to be offering.

There are many here that use Go-Click. I have as well, and I must say that the results were not very good, b ut there are those here that do exceptionally well with them.

Casino Trade is an excellent source. But, then again, sometimes it converts for me, and sometimes it doesn't.

The biggest thing, if the budget is available, is to test, test test.

Did you really want to say that it will be needed six months to promote my site to get some results ? I want to made it in much smaller terms.

OK, you want action faster than 6 months? Then you will, in the short term have to buy traffic. Other than major search engine traffic which is costly, most of it is very difficult to convert (I said this before).

To get natural SEO results (the best form of results I believe), You need to live and breath a quality site, page by page. Add the content yourself. Experience shows that many webmasters give the task to staff members who then simply copy other content. This not only is embarrassing when you get a letter from the webmaster who was copied, but google also compares its own notes and will put your site on ignore.

Each page must be carefully SEO'd to have a good keyword density without being spammy. Write with the intention of selling the product, not just meeting the Search Engine criterea.

Then, link to sites in the same field as you. Link with variety and imaginatively.

Why did I say 6 months? Well, there is a thing called the sand box. The search engines set your site aside initially to let it "mature" for up to 3 months. During this time, you must add good content, good links, and refine your message.

Remember, there are sites that are 3 or 4 years old WAY WAY ahead of you who are still adding links daily and refining their pages.

I still think 6 months is a minimum even with all the hard work.

A quick question on the "sandbox" if i may? I've heard of this before. I have a site thats been in Google for around 3 months allbeit with very average rankings (I'm going for the very obvious and very competitive term for or against my better judgement!) which i'd expect. I've been building content and backlinks during this time and have around 214 pages indexed with Google and it now shows 156 backlinks from around 5 or 6 sites with 5+ homepage PR. Still hasnt been listed in Dmoz yet tho.

But the Pagerank is still 0. Is this 0 a "sandbox" effect?

Oh and one other thing that i just cant find the answer for - i know that links to your site using your keywords are generally more beneficial - to a point anyway. But does the link to my site have to be JUST the keywords I'm targeting or is it just as beneficial if the keywords are simply included as a phrase. For example: is link text of simply "online casino" much more beneficial than "online casino search"?

First up you must realise that I am in effect repeating many things I have read plus what I have experienced. We do have some serious SEO people here and I have continually learned from them too. But, I am way from being an expert. My summary above though is I think a good starting point and the direction to SEO Chat was very necessary. Really good reading there!

First up, your PR0 is not I believe a result of the sandbox. PR simply has not been updated. Many believe it is a thing of the past. More to the point though, the PR on your toolbar is not necessarily the one google is using to calculate your position.

Simply a case of waiting for an update though. I have a PR4 site that has 138 backlinks, many of them from PR6 and even PR7 pages. I have had to sit and wait too!

Regarding the anchor text, although I have not read about this point you raise specifically, I imagine that words included in a phrase will count positively to that term. For example, I have a slots site that has achieved 3rd page position for the term "slots". Now I have NEVER tried to compete for a term like that and have links back with terms like "casino slots" or "best slots casinos" and my pages too are optimised for terms like that. I thus determine that the inclusion of the word "slots" has counted favourably even though it is just a part of the anchor text and the key words.

As for being related to Elize du Toit, ummmm, who is Elize du Toit?

As for my opinion better way to pay for getting in search engine listing.
1) You will pay for quick appearences;
2) You will pay for excellent traffic;

I think search engines is the first place for paid advertisement.

Circle jerk is a porn site concept. You throw the surfer around with multiple entry and exit popups that route him around your trading partners without showing him any pics. You make money by selling traffic and throwing him the occasional good site in the theory that he will buy something in desperation. There is a newer less vicious concept called CJ2 which is used more these days.

I can't see that this has a place in the casino world.
