About LinkBacksBoat Launching ProceduresSo here it is.
I just bought a new boat and decided to take 'er for the maiden voyage this past weekend.
This is my first boat and I wasn't quite sure of the exact Standard Operating Procedures for launching it off a ramp, but I figured it couldn't be too hard.
I consulted my local boat dealer for advice, but they just said "don't let the trailer get too deep when you are trying to launch the boat".
What am I doing wrong?
Well, I don't know what they meant by that as I could barely get the trailer in the water at all!
Anyhow, here's a picture below. See for yourself. What am I doing wrong?

I've seen my share of folk back in too far and have truck and all go in the water and need to be pulled out, (they're usually drunk at that ) but never one to drive forward into the water ! lol

The really scary thing is that people like this one walk among us! I have done some rather stupid things in my life, but never in a million years can I see why someone would do this. I studied the pic for a while to figure out what happened...
- Did the guy get out without putting the truck in park or in gear?
- Was it that his wife found out he was cheating and used this as an act of revenge?
- Was he drunk as a skunk?

I totally agree With Doolally! I would have been to embarrass
to get out of the trunk or Do anything! Just would have stayed in and waited for Help!
