    Default Odds widget

We're developing a sports betting odds widget that will allow webmasters to display upcoming odds on their site for free. Plus we will also offer football league tables for 100+ leagues.

I know a lot of sports betting affiliates need this, and are stuck with a single solution that's out there.

If you're one of these webmasters who need this kind of widget, I'm listening to your input.

This is roughly how the odds widget would look like (I'll change the colors):

You'd be able to select the league, odds type (EU/UK), time zone, and widget width. And you'd be able to put this code on any website, even embed it into an article easily. If you can place a banner you can place this.

What do you think? Share your thoughts and we might just include a feature or two.

    That sounds great Dan.

Along the line of suggestions, how about css classes so web masters can manipulate the colors and maybe the column and row sizes to better fit their sites?

Let me know when its ready and I will certainly throw it up to help you test or debug it....

Will it be possible to set the widget to US odds as well as fractional and decimal?

I guess you will have some kind of profit model for yourself in this Dan?
People pay for the widget? Or you post your links/banners in the widget?

We'll see, that sounds a bit complicated to do.

Links to the respective match pages, yes.
For a start I was thinking only about 1x2 market, though there is no reason why we wouldn't let people choose Over/Under or BTTS.

    Yes.

The widget will be free and will contain links to the source of information (my site).

I haven't yet considered affiliate links for the odds. I suppose you guys would want the click on the odds to lead to the respective bookmaker, am I right?

Surely it's just a case of assigning classes to everything that the user can target with their own stylesheet.

Sounds like a great idea, i took a look at the Odds Widget that is available at the moment and it was a bit too complicated for me. I am no techie but do know my way around a site. So even though its not my current area , i would be interested in taking a look at this. A widget for a link, thats what people do anyway when using plug ins on a site, or am i getting that wrong ? Sounds like a great idea.

    Dan,

As far as the css. if it is too difficult to put in manipulation within the plugin, how about unique class names added so that users can write their own css based upon those classes?

Done, the entire widget is one CSS class so those who want can manipulate the look & feel of the entire widget. Instructions will be available.

Ok, I'll get back to you as soon as we do geolocation and odds formats.

Meanwhile, if anyone else has any comments or suggestions, you're welcome to share them.

Actually the odds widget is live. It displays the odds from the league you want, and each match is a link to OddsNavigator. No affiliate links, yours or mine, so widget is informational only.
