So how is everyone's sites since Monday?

Rankings on 2 sites of mine improved HUGELY on Sunday, I am assuming it was related to the Panda Update - it was certainly a shock to the relaxed Sunday morning system!
Not reporting any losses at all - all good![]()
Gaining back some positions as a result. Not fantastic, but certainly better.

Didn't really notice a huge difference, rankings are up a bit.
A couple of our sites (non gaming) got smashed when they did the US update in Feb (lost almost half of our US traffic).....We have made lost of changes and imporvements since so interested to see what will happen with this global role out especially as one of the sites is a .co.uk and both are predominantly UK traffic
iGB Affiliate - The biggest magazine and events for affiliates in igaming
no negative changes for me across ~15 sites.![]()
The ultra BS spammy donk sites increased in traffic while some that are really highest quality literally died.
PONYS ARE GAY
I've mentioned this in another thread and had some help already, but I think it relates to the Panda update.
I have two sites in this niche, both about 3 months old. My 200 page main site at bonusbetting.co.uk has lost all rankings across about 50 keywords, except (curiously) a #1 ranking for 'bonusbetting'. I've noticed that I've also regained a #8 spot for 'compare bonus bets', down from #1. Neither are useful terms, but it's interesting that they are the only ones I still rank for.
From my understanding, Panda has hit plenty of sites, but rarely completely destroyed rankings. This all happened yesterday, and I believe Panda hit the UK on Tuesday, so the timing is right.
I have identified some issues and there are plenty of things I can do to improve the site, so my plan is to complete these and then submit for re-assessment. Any other advice is more than welcome.
It is obviously very frustrating, but going back to square one means I can correct the mistakes I made.
However, my other site in this niche, oddsconverter.co.uk, which I created as a single page experiment before I decided to build an affiliate site, is now sitting pretty at #1 for its keyword and getting 50 extra UVs per day. Not too sure what to do with it...

The traffic stayed consistant but the keywords for which it ranks for got shaken up. Overall net the same.
That's a great mantra and a great film. Sadly in my case it's more 'build it and they will come until google lays the hand of righteous anger upon you'.
I really hope the site can recover in weeks rather than months - it was starting to make good revenue...

I appear to have gone up considerably for all the keyword phrases I am tracking for my site. I am not sure what I am doing right, but obviously I am doing something right so I guess I just keep on doing what I am doing! It is always a dark art trying to work out what works and what doesn't anyway.
Interesting. How do people track their rankings?
I had been using some free software, but I now know sending automated queries is strictly against Google's TOS, so I've stopped. It seems crazy to have no way of checking, but I've got to 'Panda' to their guidelines to have any chance of redemption.
I'm guessing most people ignore this, but it's right there in the quality guidelines...

I think the panda update have affected many people... but it will go fine after some time once your site become stable.

Interesting question - they used to have a free version that was fine, but I upgraded to the full professional licence (which is very expensive plus I have a subscription to knowledge base updates) - however that was because I was working on 3rd party sites with a consultancy gig.
The small business version (i.e. just for your own sites) is worth the money, but only if you use the features fairly comprehensively. It is nice to have everything in one place, and it does work well, but you *can* do everything it gives you in other ways. So you are really paying for time saving (which isn't a small matter) and convenience.
I suggest you try the free trial and give it a good work out - if you like most of what it does it might be worth it, but if you end up not using that much of it it probably isn't.
