"Possum" is NOT an update, it's just a mere "speculation" from some SEOs (sigh...) who saw some changes in Local Searches (mostly on Google Maps).

    *facepalm*

We had a good impact with the latest penguin roll out. It seems that our position on some keywords improved, according to our reports.

    What's your opinions, so far?

I have noticed better keyword positions but not any more traffic, I think the process is only just getting started I have seen talk of recoveries but not so much about anyone being hit..

To add to my last post, just ran a check and difocch should be please but our favorite top10 seems to have vanished from all dominating results.. only just noticed, they may come back or it could just be google jumping around but this is the first time ever I have seen them leave the top results. also it looks like the scraping bonus sites have taken a massive hit.. before all the junk dominated page one for related terms.. now they are nowhere to be found... i think we may start seeing some big shuffles this week

I see the same patterns. However, a couple of hours later looks like G reverse back previous rankings.
But it looks like a datacenters shift.

Holy ****. If that stays the case with top10 that is huge for me. They took all of my no.1 spots about a 18 months ago and put a big hole in my earnings.

Previously you would just launch another site with 301'ed links and keep sailing for a couple of years, hopefully Real time ends this, I have noticed others missing it seems one by one they are dropping and some actual quality sites are taking their places, as well as some obvious new spammy ones which i think will get pulled also, it's too early to work out what this penguin is going to do

I'm almost sure we are talking about an old "friend" involved with "verifiedcasinosdotcom" hacking...

Perhaps they are being floated ready for the penalty? not sure how long those sites have been hacked bu they all go to the same place

We started to see hacked sites on late 2012.
    It's a game of "do-delete-repeat".
I buy a domain, I fulfill it with tons of backlinks, some content and I get it ranked. This domain get caught by Search Engines. It vanishes.
At this point, repeat the above: SEs apply penalties to domain levels, not on backlinks. If you see the hacked sites, they are all "healthy" (except for the hack) sites. This prior to P4... let's see in the near future.
