Pinterest or Instagram

Instagram is awesome, and it provides much bigger reach at our audience than Pinterest, as I think. But the only annoying thing is that I can't put active links in the posts' descriptions: if I have to address visitors to some article at my website – they have to follow a long and adventurous path of typing the link manually or looking it up at my website themselves. It's a bit too much minimalistic, as for me

If you have all your location services turned off except for determining your location via wifi or something, you can "name" a location that you're at.

So whenever I make a post now, i make the location my website URL. Works a charm. Since I started doing that my traffic has increased from mobile devices by 15% so it must be working.

But is there any possibility to mask my real location? Say, I wanna check-in at Caesars Palace instead of my hometown

I'm not sure about that part. People know I'm in Sydney on mine so I don't mind if that's where it shows me.
I know you can do that on facebook when you "check in" though.

When you check in you can search for a place anywhere in the world and use it as the check in location. You don't physically have to be there. Has to be on a mobile device obviously. I don't know that the desktop version has a checkin function.

Pinterest is far better than Instagram and is used mainly for marketing.It drives more traffic than instagram. Pinterest is mainly developed for increasing business visibility and always helpful in taking you to the higher rank.So I recommended you to use pinterest more.

instagram seems to be more personal so for affiliates maybe makes less sense unless you want to just connect with your users in a way outside of business.

My vote goes to Instagram!
I am an instagram user and a pinterest user both at the same time, but I spent most of my time using instagram.
Why? because i find it more easier to use and navigate, though the downside is that links are not available on clickable. Once you paste a link on a comment or on the caption it automatically turns into a text. But still, I am for instagram haha

That's the way, I prefer Pinterest. You can add the description to your pictures that could contain direct link to my site.
I never used Instagram and I do not think it is necessary to use all of the social sites.
