Default Please Help me Out With This Blog.

I created this blog a few months back http://bingofever.blogspot.com/ and it seems to be indexed by Google through site: but only one page is showing in WMTs. This is not the main issue really. I have posted a few posts but it seems like noone is reading it or anything. Would it be cool if a few people could comment on some posts please? Try and get Google to crawl it again and give me more passion to post more post?

Does anyone else have a blog? I would be happy to help comment on yours too.

    Hi There,
I am not here to make comments on your blog, but I can give you some suggestions on how to make it better:

*First and foremore, you have about 7 articles on there... This is nowhere near enough content to even make a remote dent in google....Google feeds off fresh content and 7 articles doesnt do any justice

*Hosting as a subdomain on blogspot is not helping you as well. Consider purchasing your own domain name to host your blog, and build up your brand and reputation with google with fresh content, very often, and create lots of backlinks to your site

*The layout of your blog is pretty boring in my opinion...There is very little graphics or "impactful" content to make me want to stay and read more... Its looks like wallpaper from the 80's. Add some pictures, add something interactive (poll, etc)....Give me something to do besides read....

*From a quick look at your coding for this page, I would suggest doing some SEO research. Find out what keywords you want to target, and add them to your code. Your "title" tag is "Bingo Articles", which I dont think will help you get found in Google, as I am sure this is a fairly saught after keyword

*"GaryTheScubaGuy" is a regular poster in here, and has a lot of good information in the SEO forum here. I believe he is one of the moderators there as well. I have learned a lot from him so far regarding SEO, and I would suggest reading some of his stuff....

*Since this site is fairly new, I would suggest getting it submitted to the search engines. To do this, create a sitemap of your website, and submit it through Google WT, Bing WT, and Yahoo WT (WT = Webmaster Tools)

I could go on, but I think this is a good start for you. Please do not take this message as an attack or anything.... I am just giving you my honest opinion, and I think many of my points are valid, and will help you to grow your site in the future.

    Good luck with your website!

Your blog really provides new details. Better work for a lot of informative and useful contents. Google crawls not just in a minute, so you'd better be patient. BTW, I commented on your blog and I am hoping for your approval. I also suggests to make your blog exposed through social bookmarking and joining in some blog networking sites. You may submit your updated posts to different social bookmarking sites and join a related community wherein you can invite people to comment and follow your blog. Make friends and attract them to visit and comment on your blog. Hoping that you could also visit my blog and drop some comments.

Haha, thanks for the information and putting a link in the comments. Just to let you know it is nofollow blogger so it is pointless. I will leave it in to keep you amused.

Hey, WinYourWayKyle, thanks for the information. I am already aware of al that you said, but thanks anyway.

Feel a bit bad now that I can not write a long post back to it.

I was going to start a blog on a different domain or a sub domain and may do in the future but upto now I am going to keep with a free platform.

Your blog is a good one but it needs more content to get traffic and rankings. If you want more visitors and readers for your blog, join those Top Blog Directories where you can promote your blog.

    Just a quickie...

I'm not sure what blogspot's T&Cs are like but I once had a blog at xxxxxxxxxxx.wordpress.com and it was doing really well. So well in fact that someone at Wordpress must've noticed it. It was taken offline without any warning because I was promoting betting sites and in breach of their T&Cs. It left me back a square one overnight and looked really bad for the brand that I had just spent 12 months building. In hindsight it was probably the best thing that happened as I was forced to set-up a self-hosted site.

It's worth checking out what you're allowed to do (Blogspot may be fine), and if need be start planning for a self-hosted site.

    Good luck with it!

the last blog post was nearly 2 months ago. Try to do consistent writing of one article per week and also focus on quality content. If you write an article that has been written 100s of times with other affiliate sites then don't expect google to give you any decent rankings. Also if this blog has no links pointing to it including your website then it is like the site doesn't exist in the online world.

Also is there a difference between this blogspot blog and your blog in your signature?

Hi Craig96, Here are a few things that can help drive traffic to you blog.

    1. Set up an email subscription form on your blog and invite everyone in your network to subscribe: family, friends, colleagues, clients, associates.

    2. Submit your blog to blog directories.

    3. If you publish a newsletter, make sure you have a link to your blog in every issue.

    4. Print your blog URL on your business cards.

    5. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to.

    6. Post often to keep attracting your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; include links to other blogs, articles and websites in your posts

    7. Use Trackback links when you quote or refer to other blog posts.

    8. Make a commitment to blog everyday. 10 minutes a day can help increase your traffic as new content attracts search engine spiders.

    9. Use a hit counter to track your visitor stats: how many unique visitors, how many page views, average length of visit.

Kyle went into great detail to let you know what you are doing wrong and should do. I would really thank him for taking the time to write such a detailed description that was right on point.
Host your own domain is the main adivice i can give. use blogspot and web 2.0 properties to set up tiers that link back at your money site.

Great advice from Kyle and Niti. I believe that success doesn't happen overnight, so you need to focus on adding more quality content to your blog - here I mean interesting stuff that you'd also enjoy reading. You could also write about your own experience, or interview people who play bingo as a hobby.
You could also get creative, and formulate intriguing questions.

    Good luck!

just to reiterate what dublinbetpaul stated, i have had a couple of blogspot sites disabled for no apparent reason. I woke up one morning to find them disabled. I requested a review as stipulated in the control panel and nothing. The sites were a couple of years old and had always concentrated on gambling affiliate marketing. I would never set another site up on blogger as your dicing with death whether or not they disable it.
