With the Poker Host affiliate program you will also have access to our detailed stats on the performance of your campaigns,
I am really sorry, but this is the LAST thing you guys can say about your stats.

The stats that you provide affiliates is VERY old school (the old SBG Global stuff) and hasn't changed in more than 5 years.

I also see SBG Global links on every page on the site since it's in the footer, does an affiliate get credit for traffic that is directed there also?

    Default Baptism by fire!

Hi Sherry and welcome to GPWA.
Sorry to welcome you and then put you under the gun in the same post but.... this is GPWA and we usually get right to the heart of the matter in pretty short order.

    So, here it is...
According to PokerHost's player terms and conditions:

    15. Abandonment of account balance: Poker Host if you do not access your Poker Host account by "logging in" to your account using your username and password for a period of one hundred and eighty two (182) days, your account will be closed and the entire account balance and all promotional items including all of your referral bonuses will be deemed abandoned and forfeited; provided however, that this requirement for login and entry is not and does not constitute any condition whatsoever for you to play any game, deposit funds or participate in any activity at Poker Host other than logging in.
Can you tell me why this term is necessary. I know it may be a standard term on Cake Network sites but I also know that Doyle's room (also on Cake) does not include that clause in their terms.

I just do not understand the need for this clause. Tell me why I should promote a room that may confiscate my player's funds if they fail to log in for half a year when I already promote Doyle's and to some extent, Cake Poker, on the same network.

BTW - Cake Poker has a similar clause (which is why they get limited exposure on my sites) but the time frame is double - 365 days:

CAKE If You do not access Your CAKE account by "logging in" to Your account using Your E-mail and password for a period of three hundred and sixty five (365) days, Your account will be closed and the entire Account Balance and all promotional items including all of Your Share Cake referral bonuses will be deemed abandoned and forfeited; provided however, that this requirement for login and entry is not and does not constitute any condition whatsoever for You to play any game, deposit funds or participate in any activity at CAKE other than logging in.

Thanks and don't worry. As you can see it’s in our Player's terms and conditions but we do not take this into action. If a player's account is zeroed out for inactivity. We always reverse the funds back into the player's account as soon as he/she contacts us in regards to their funds

Usually if the player's account is zeroed out for inactivity. As soon as the player contacts our customer service reps. His or her funds are reversed.
Yes - that's the problem! 'Usually' is not good enough. History has proven that if a term is in a contract, it will eventually be enforced. So, I will repeat my original question...

Why is that clause included in the terms?

It costs the poker room next to nothing to let the dormant account sit there. So what purpose does this clause serve other than to allow the poker room to grab the cash? And why such a short period of time? If Cake can wait a full year and Doyle's can eliminate the clause entirely, why does Poker Host feel the need to enforce the rule after just 6 months?

I agree with you completely and I will have it removed from our site in just a few minutes due to we do not enforce it. Thank you for your feedback on this specific detail.

    Thumbs up Awesome!

    Many thanks!!

I'll offer you a bit of advice that I gave to a Merge site this week...

Instead of alienating the customer by closing his account or seizing his money try sending a reminder email. In the email, ask why the player is no longer active. Also ask what you can do to get him playing again. Offer an incentive. Do what it takes to make the customer happy and at the same time take his feedback to heart and use it to improve your product. It's a win - win - win situation. Happy player, happy affiliate, happy poker room!

Thank you for this great advice. We have added a new department which is in charge of getting in touch with our inactive players and provide them information on our new promotions and bonuses.
