    Default Protect yourself. Demand pre-approval.

I am doing my best to end the scam that quite a few casinos have been using lately to get out of paying winners. Please take a look at this post, give your opinion and/or suggestions, and join the effort to stop these rip offs.

(Full disclosure: I am the manager of Gambling Grumbles and am sick and tired of getting complaints from players who have been victimized.)

    I agree with this comment!

The first thing to do is to name the casino! Only then can players make informed decisions about their play.

Your suggestion in your post is commendable, but not likely to catch on. Players ready to make a deposit are not likely to send that email, then wait hours (usually) to get a reply. What if its on Sat night and they want to play? Who is going to sign off on such a document?

The "tried and true" method is still the most effective for the long term - name the casino in various posts, outlining their behavior. Send notice to the casino of the various posts, and Google will pick it up in their results.

Remind players to do a search on a new casino before making a deposit, and always read the Promo Terms!! Find out about withdrawal limits, at the very least!!

It's not fast, but it puts pressure on the casino, makes players aware of the problem, and stops some money from being "lifted" from player wallets.

It is not just one casino -- I wish it were.

Go to www.gamblinggrumbles.com and take a look at the "Reports" section -- especially those marked with either a "Skull & Crossbones" or a "Crying Face".

Moreover, there are several more I am currently working on (but I do not want to name them until the casinos have had a chance to respond).
