Unfortunately I got teased a lot at school because of the way I looked (my hair) and I was a pretty ugly kid. Whenever I came home upset or saying how much I hate the way I looked etc, my dad would always say to me:

"Don't put yourself down because there are a million other people out there willing to do it for you."

Another one that I have always stayed true to is "Learn from other's mistakes. You don't live long enough to make them all yourself."

Now for my favourite.. It's a greek saying.
I can't remember how to spell it correctly but here goes:

Classic, Army of Darkness, one of my favorite movies of all time. I use his quotes daily, and drives my wife crazy.
