    Default Rev Share income question

    Hi everyone!

I am new to the forum and new to the gambling affiliate game. I have a question which is what is the approximate number of signups needed under rev share to earn a decent income each month. I know this question is somewhat difficult to answer because there are different types of players that can have a big effect on income. But from those who have a large amount of sign ups or with experience, on average how many players under rev share would it take to be making e.g $2k a month?

I usually generate between 20-40 new depositors a month and have never breached $2k. (all sports based).

It depends on many factors. First important factor, what country do you target?

Other factors are: website, brand, bonuses, players,... It is very hard to give a number. 1 player could make you 10k/month if you are lucky.

I'm currently running UK live casino offers. Starting off pushing betvictor at the moment but read about their quotas so might choose another company

I would move in to casinos then I know people who bring in those figures and are making more than that on average.

To answer OP: It really is hard to say. Some players will just deposit the minimum amount, play a bit and will be gone, then there are the bigger players, then there are the whales. The bigger players will make you more, the whales are the ones that can make you rich.

Then, there is something called winning. Although the casino 'always wins' and you're on the casino's side of things, sometimes people win too! Meaning you will not make any money on them, and depending on their win, you could end up earning nothing for that month.

Having said all that: I would not worry about those numbers too much. Just start! Get those players in, then you will be able to answer your question before you know it You could be spending your time in getting players in, instead of spending it on worrying about these things

I wish you all the luck and that you will reach the $2 / 3 K sooner rather than later. (To even earn more than that the months after!)

I'd say you need 500 players, 200 of which are active in a given month. Although it really depends on so many factors that it's impossible to give an accurate answer.

In any case, you do need at least a year before you can count on your group of players becoming large enough to be making you some decent income. Especially because you won't be sending all players to the same book, you'll likely be sending players to at least a dozen of them, so it will be more difficult to reach the 500 mark at any individual book.

this is a good question but I am not able to answer it. This all depends on the traffic source I think. You can have 50 new depositors and have just a few euros. But when you target high value players then a lower amount of players can make a good income. @AffGambit I work with betvictor and was not able to bring new players for a longer period. I have never received an e-mail about quotas and I already have some active players there.

The question results in an open ended answer.

It's like asking how many sales do I need to make in my online shop to make $2K per month ... the answer is IT DEPENDS. You can imagine all the different shops online, and what they sell.

For gambling it is the same - there is a LOT of variation and it depends very much on :

1/ The segment you are working in - Sports / Casino / Poker / Bingo / Lottery / Forex?
2/ The quality of the partner you are working with - can they encourage repeat deposits with advertising and offers?
3/ The country segments you are targeting. Rich countries with electronic funds access (e-wallets / cards) and liberal legislation.
4/ The quality of your own website to make conversions more likely to occur when you send a player through.
5/ The ability of your site and your partner to engage with the player and keep them active.

The individual results vary so much. One customer can generate $2K in revenue. Or a customer might only deposit a tenner - lose it and leave meaning a $3 rev-share. So is the answer one customer? Or 1000 customers? it's probably somewhere in between.

The other main factor is that when players lose - they often leave (or do not re-deposit) and try another place. It's probably only 50/50 that if a player drops a big loss that he/she will be back to play next month. I'd estimate that about 50% of the players drop after two months and another 25% drop by 6 months. There will be more attrition at 1 year, 2 years and 5 years.

But I guess that you want a number - any number - so I'll do my best. If I look at one of our bigger partner sites that take multiple channels - sports - horses - casino and poker, then I get a rev-share $80 per month on average.

So you could say that 25 depositing players on average generates $2K income. But that would only be true for my site at my client.

Also very importantly players stop playing - looking at those numbers from that partner. only 2.8% of our lifetime referrals (8 years) played this month. Typically about 50% of registrations actually deposit and play - so that's a 5.6% active rate from overall depositors. Or put another way 94.4% of referred players have dropped away.

So you need to replenish with new players every month in order to maintain those monthly earnings of 2K. 25 players might have reduced to 12 players within 6 months, and maybe just 5 or 6 after a year. Perhaps down to 1 or 2 players after 2 years. And it might only be a small time punter.

So within a year or two your 2K turns back into only a few dollars per month - unless you find new players.

    -----

    SUMMARY :
As you can see, the more you investigate, the more you realise that there is no MAGIC number. The business is like an onion in that there are many, many different layers of conversion, retention, and activity involved in turning clicks into players into revenue.

How do your target your website? "Free" keywords?
I started with gambling aff maybe 12 month ago in german market only. I find per month not more then 3 or 4 FTD´s but that brings every month more then $1,5k ascending. For me it is much harder to find FTD´s. If i can converting my traffic, this guys playing like hell.
