Default Robert Bruce "New gambling Players" PPC guy - beware.

    Hey All,

Guy by the name of Robert Bruce (possibly UK Based) claims to be able to PPC for casino and sports players. Also claims to have data lists.

He goes by the skype handle of New gambling Players and has an email of NewGamblingPlayers at g mail

He asks that money is wired to a Mrs M Lee at a Barclays Bank at St. James Street, Lancashire.

I sent money for a small test buy and he then did not return skypes or emails.

Does anyone here know of him?

    best regards

    T.

I did some digging using the account number that this guy requested the funds sent to. It turned up a link for a scammer by the name of Mark Lewis.

Obviously I would never usually post someone's banking details however in this case, it is the best way for someone to (hopefully) not get scammed.

    Bank Name: Barclays Bank
Bank Address: St. James Street, Lancashire. BB11 1NH.
    Account Name: Mrs M Lee
    Account Number: 30141356
    Sort Code: 20-15-70
    IBAN: GB76BARC20157030141356
    BIC: BARCGB22

This address is about a 40 minute drive for me, I'll get a sting set up.

I hope someone has contacted the authorities.

If they are selling data lists, it sounds like that would be against privacy laws in most areas.

Unfortunately we were bitten by this Bruce guy as well. I never accept to pay an upfront fee in full so it wasnt too painful but this is how he does it. He gets you to agree on an amount, you send the money and you will never hear from him again.

I do hope the authorities catch him coz I am sure he has made a fortune ripping us off.

There are more threads about this guy but please stay away....

    Regards,
    Rebecca.

Actually not selling. He was supposed to send himself.
Nothing crazy owning a database of potential players.

It didnt seem shady actually quite the contrary and I also confirmed that he was working with other operators so I decided that it could be worth a shot. However once the funds were sent I got all but 2 responses from him saying that he was away on business etc but then started to turn into a load of crap. Never heard from him since, skype is always offline..simply buggered off.

I really hope that he gets caught and not simply to return the funds but for the principle. Yo just cant go around robbing people and expect to get away with it.

    Regards,
    Rebecca

Since the guy in question has his/her account with Barclays, here is the advice that is stated on their website.

    http://www.barclays.co.uk/Helpsuppor...P1242560037908

    "Action Fraud
If you're the victim of an advance-fee fraud, investment fraud or other scam, report it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or online at actionfraud.police.uk"

That depends on what you would define as shady. If someone is offering Adwords services for markets where those ads are not allowed, I would classify that as "shady", regardless of how you want to dress it up. Unfortunately the promise of a quick buck is often too tempting for most to resist.

Oh God...he sent us an email in the month of Nov 2013 & i had long conversation with him on skype. His skype id is robert-bruce01. We had almost finalized the deal but later I asked him to send me record of 200 sample players whose email id starts with the letter "Q or X" because he was claiming to have record of 200,000 players. He denied to send me the sample so the deal could never took place. I was lucky.

Not sure if I am able to log a complaint since we actually paid him to his NT account.

How ethical is it for affiliate program to be buying databases of players?

It is NOT ethical at all pinky.

Some will try and dress up the lie that it is ok, but it isn't ever.
