    Default RTG Sites Down?

This is the one area where CAP served a purpose. All RTG Casinos, as well as their affiliate sites appear to be down. Where in GPWA do we discuss these issues so we can get answers and how do we reach RTG casino managers so we can find out what is going on???

I waited about an hour, but of course, as soon as I post this all RTG sites seem to be back up. Still, where on GPWA can we go to discuss such issues?

    Hi AndreS

I imagine we can post about most anything here and they'd move it if it wasn't posted in the proper place. I kind of view this area like the general discussion area at C**.

I'm still pretty new here though, so I'm not really sure.

Usually if you had a problem like this you could contact the affiliate managers of the RTG casinos you work with. And if you didn't have any of those to contact, as a last resort you could probably contact the casino support to ask why the casino is down and when it will be back up.

    Thanks Daera.

I understand those routes should be taken, but what I was saying is that normally I would go to CAP and there would already be news about this issue, and if there wasn't I could just post a new topic and the dozens of RTG managers there would be able to respond, or someone would be able to respond if they had info, that is what CAP was all about. Since so many of us were banned we no longer have that resource, so I guess I'm asking where that resource is outside of CAP. Is it here? Is it at the Gaurdog site? If this resource doesn't it exist, someone should create it. If it does exist, please let me know where it is.

Hi Andre, thanks for raising this question.

Yes, the "Chatter Box" section is the best place in the public areas of the forum to post this information. For affiliates who have been reviewed as private members I also recommend cross-posting in the program-specific sections, as these tend to be the most closely monitored.

If there is an issue impacting a number of member programs needing a response on a larger scale than a single program, we can contact the affiliate program representatives to make sure they are aware of the issue.

But as to the above quote, I thought I was a member. What is a private member? There are different levels of members for GPWA?

Yes, there are two types of membership for affiliates, public membership and private membership. Both are completely free. Here is a bit of an overview of each:

    1) Public membership is granted when a person creates a forum account, and includes some initial benefits -- access to the public section of the forum, a free subscription to the GPWA Times magazine (just let us know the address to send it to by adding it here), free subscription to the GPWA Times email newsletter, links to your portal sites from your member profile, and access to a number of industry events.

    2) Private membership is for webmasters whose sites are operated in a reputable manner (no copied content, spamming, etc.). The criteria and application form are available here. Applicants are reviewed and voted on by existing private members. Private membership includes a range of additional benefits: access to private sections of the forum that are exclusively available to affiliates, access to the affiliate program sections, copy of Casino City's iGaming Business Directory for shipping cost, special pricing for the StatsRemote software, and eligibility to apply for the GPWA Seal of Approval.

Again, both types of membership are completely free.
