I have heard that schema is not incorporated into the algorithm as a direct ranking increase factor. However, I believe that it has an indirect effect, as many affiliate sites ignore schema because of the small number of sites that do.

I don't implement FAQ markup because I think it will be effective in increasing CTR in SERPs, but it will also increase zero clicks and decrease traffic to the site.
