    Default Seo Consultants

Anyone know someone who is an expert ? I really think I need some help in optimizing my on-page seo but I can't seem to find anyone I'd consider hiring yet!

I'm kind of looking for someone to work with me and help me understand what I do wrong and what I can do better etc so that I can learn it for myself as well

Hi I would like to keep it under $1000 a month.
I'm getting a few quotes hopefully by the end of the week.

My honest opinion - save your money and do it yourself - buy yourself Aaron Walls SEO book to get you started and spend the rest on outsourcing for content if your budget is $1000/mth

Im not trying to bash you or anyone offering services - but for a $1000 a month if the person was going to really offer a top-notch service and was that good don't you think they would be doing it for themselves.

Anyway just my advice - Im not trying to discredit any members, I just see alot of spammy, shady seo services floating around from link sellers and what not and don't want to see you waste your money on blog spam nonsense.

That ebook doesnt cover everything and some things may be outdated but you will at least be headed in the right direction and can nail the basics.

hmmm looks like you need to join and pay $300 a mth which is a bit steep I think for someone new. If you can find the ebook from someone it's def a good read but for now you can check out these sites - all free

    http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors
    http://www.seo-theory.com/seo-white-papers/
    http://www.seo-theory.com/
    http://www.best-seo-blog.com/
    http://www.pokerseo.org/

and heres a running thread we have on PAL that lists blogs, forums, etc. Universal I hope this is ok

    http://www.pokeraffiliatelistings.co...resources.html

I would avoid some of the bigger forums like DP or SEOChat. Both will confuse you more than help you as there are alot of people who don't have the slightest clue what they are doing (I think many like to post for the sake of saying listen to me). Highrankings is really good and has alot of spot on posts you can search, SearchEngineLand another good place to go

Anyway with a $1000 budget your likely going to end up wasting your money as most people who would be willing to do this for someone else charges well above that. You can also ask questions - You will learn more by asking questions, implementing advice, testing and trying it out than anything you will read really. And before you hop on the OMG I need links, links and more links regardless of where they come from, I suggest you read this which is one of my fav posts

Link Building Basics: Why your link strategy sucks

Sorry I dont give out my skype anymore unless its someone I work with daily - however there are plenty of people on this forum that are willing to lend a hand or offer advice when you need it. So just ask away.

btw I was still editing when you posted so check the list of links above and read some of the articles. Take what you read with a grain of salt sometimes and test things. You will likely make a ton of mistakes but its the only way to learn

    * and a tip if this is for the site in your sig - stop linking to certain pages so many times on one page. Its a bit spammy IMO - 10+ links on one page specifically for one other page is a bit over the top when those links are obv for seo and not for your visitors.*

At a glance anyone look at the source code? I took a look and no offense but there are so many basic elements missing or should not be there.

Start reading ASAP and be careful were you spend for seo services. The site displays okay but I would defiantly be really concerned on the backend. If it were me I would toss and start over.
