Took a quick look at your coding, and without being offensive, it's a mess. There's multiple code errors. In addition to scripts outside of your closing </html> tag. However, the most important issue, your site is not mobile optimized.
Using AMP doesn't make your site mobile optimized.
Coding dictates the mobile optimization, and unfortunately your coding is not mobile optimized.
The WP theme your using isn't OLD, it's ancient and is using outdated coding: Reno Sports Advisors Handicapping Site Author: Tyler Forret Author URI: hxxp://www.renosportsadvisors.com Version: 1.0 Changelog: v1.0 - 01.21.13 (the URL doesn't exist anymore).
This theme is using outdated coding.
Trying to fix your current theme, and or adding extra bits and pieces to it is, a BIG waste of time. All your doing is creating more and more junk code. Reiterating your WP theme is years too old.
FYI... WP core coding has gone through a heap of changes since 2013. Your theme is using old coding. Update it to a modern theme, and 90% of your problems will be solved. Including your SEO issues.
EDIT:
When I say your site is not mobile optimized:
Although your site fits to a mobile... your navigation is not mobile optimized, neither is you textual content. Both of these and other coding elements are using PC CSS/JS coding etc, which is not mobile optimized.
Hence using AMP is a waste of time, until your theme is updated to a bona fide mobile optimized WP theme.

Do the right thing, even when no one is looking. It's called integrity.
