Are social medias worth?

Hello everyone,

does anyone here have any experience with social medias when it comes to online casinos? Is it worth creating social media profiles for website related to online gambling. Do you think people would actually really like such page and would follow it?

Without a dedicated social media strategy, I don't see the worth of it. Just posting your articles on Facebook or something, makes no sense. I've seen some casinos doing well on social media, but they've got a strategy for it.

I totally understand the importance of any kind of strategy regarding social media. I am more interested in finding out, whether people would appreciate the information about online casinos and online gambling at all. I am not sure if it isn´t generally considered as a some kind of taboo on social medias.

Beginning 2016, i made with a fresh account 100 FDP in 8 Hours on Facebook...this was more than crazy.
But this rally, is over the system works better than before,now u can lose your acc very fast.

Yes, social media play an important role in boosting quality traffic towards a website. Be active on social media site to build the large base of an audience.

Hey, I think it is always useful to use social media. Nowadays people spend a lot of time on them (Facebook, Instagram and etc.) during the day. It is easier to reach your audience, to tell about your company and grab their attention. Of course, I think it depends on what people are interested in. But I think if they see you on social media, they will want to know more about your company. Especially when they will start to follow you, even if they are not playing in online casino at the moment.

Of course it is worth it. People spend a lot of time on social media during the day. It is the easiest way to reach your audience or create a new one. If a person starts follow you on Facebook, Instagram or etc, they will see what you post. Also, it is easier way to communicate with your audience.

Re Instagram, yes, as far as I know. And big social media websites does help a lot your business if you are dedicated and work on improving your strategy.

I see the social networks as big allies to promote the brands but for this it must have a great strategy, but it does not really work
Instagram I believe to be the best we have today, in my opinion

It's still worth, but only if you do it smart. With current Facebook algorithm changes, it's better to build groups instead of pumping your official page.

This is spot on, groups are way more active and are more open to clicking links. I've tried to acquire some big groups but the admins are braindead and do not understand that they are sitting on a gold mine, 10k members that are all punting but ZERO monetization on the group. They literally laughed me out the door and posted my private messages to the admin for the group to see. I was not impressed. Their loss.

I still have to find the first Facebook page or Twitter profile related to gambling that is really succesful. And with succesful i mean having lots of REAL retweets, likes, shares and comments.

Most simple affiliate websites are having these social accounts with 1000 likes/followers who are bought and every post they place has got like zero or max 2 likes (which are from the owner's).

Look for example at the FB page of AskGamblers. It's dead over there and let's be honest, askgamblers website seems like an active community. (or are all the reviews fake? hmmm)

i've found social media really tough these days, been really hard and i'm just getting nowhere. Trying to follow all the rules is tough

Take a minute and read some reviews - its funny.
People without gambling experience write reviews....for money...

Regular players dont write positive reviews...only negative...

AG and all connected pages are the worst places for gamblers....

Yeah i agree. Most people eventually lose with gambling. Why the heck would you write a review like:
"I lost some money but i had a good time. NetEnt and Microgaming have very good-looking games and the customer service is very friendly.
If i lose money i want to lose it in style and <insert casino name here> gives you style and a very good time.
8/10 would play again"

What do you think, maybe i can also apply for that job hahaha.

But for social media, i think that only likeable/shareable content is going to 'work' like winning/funny/recognizable videos/pictures. And not a page full of 'very awesome bonus offers'.

Hello,

I’m new to the forums, sorry if there is an introduction forum, I missed if.

My experience with social networks including Ad’s:

We get some traffic to our site, lots of clicks actually, but conversion is not very good, I mean 1000 clicks, p new customers.

But some of the Facebook posts are listed in Google so maybe that is a good point.
