Are social medias worth?

2/3 years using social media gain sign ups was so easy.

A lot harder now but still worth doing if it's done correctly.

i think if you have a site that is 'brandable', i.e. good name, domain, and of course great site, regularly updated content, then social media is a great help in building a brand. plus social signals probably help seo-wise. if you're just going for organic traffic and nothing else, a review site for example, maybe it's not so worthwhile.

I'm about to start my first campaign using Facebook audiences which I culminated using various acquisition campaigns outside of digital, so it will be interesting for me to see how it converts online. Will be sure to reply here as to how it goes.

do you guys think that facebook fanpages are more like to build brand awareness rather than acquisition?

We have different affiliate products and for our other companies in different segment we own our own products, for affiliate sites I find Facebook/instagram not good ROI. You can get a lot of clicks and liks, but not many FTDs. But for our other company that produce their own products we do it just for the brand building and marketing aspect. But maybe some will tell you that its about segmenting the ad better and writing better ADs and having better picture for better success on facebook.

Never managed to roi from social so just use it for seo benefits.. have some friends who kill it on social though and sports

Every channel can work imo just a matter of cracking the funnel which requires time and investment testing different sh*t

If you want to make money with FB ads with your gambling offers you have to be smart, look at askgamblers... they have a huge office here in Malta full of people writing "independent" reviews all day and they built an empire with that.

Don't try to do all your stuff alone or you will very likely fail,

And what gold mine are you talking, monetizining on what? If you try putting links, reach goes down, very little likes, etc., if you put aff links reach almost goes to zero, if you put photo or video, than FUN is GOOD, not monetizing there.. Or I'm missing here something?

Theratman claims these groups are goldmines. I have probably the most active sports betting group on Facebook.... Ill sell him it as I am one of the brain dead people he is talking about...

Wonder what his valuation on my gold mine is. He seems to know more than me

Social Media is extremely difficult in Asia, especially I am doing Vietnam market. Let’s talk about Facebook. People make fake accounts in facebook and spread their affiliate links everywhere, create hundreds of facebook groups. Everyday I got tagged to at least 20 posts of my competitors. They don’t provide any useful information in social media.
If I do provide in my Facebook, the real players read and just go. There is no interaction. As gambling is still illegal in Asia. They are afraid that their friends and their family know that they are gambling. So my post is never spread out. I feel hopeless with Social media.

hello. i know what is happening here. add me to Skype please. there are Chinese bots for automatic creation of Facebook pages, posting etc. exactly as you describe here. i also know a lot about the Vietnamese side of casino affiliation...

Having an online presence, more specifically through social media, is always beneficial to your brand. Quite often, people will look for your site via such platforms for credibility and reliability. And this can play a great role for you since this can divert traffic to your site.

Of course, you will need to have a strategy and to be actively posting and interacting with your audience.

It is needed to make a page and input some money in its promotion. Social signals are important for Google (behavioral factors). This is also important for your brand (branding). Don’t forget about Twitter and YouTube.

Unfortunately, I think that social media for casino site are not the best idea. Face the true, playing at casino for many people is still considered as gambling and in times when future employers are checking facebook to verify candidates for work, it doesn't look good to have casino funpage in the field of interest. People know it, so you wan't be able to get big group of followers.

I only send traffic to one of my sites through FB / twitter ..
and all my conversion for a very small 1 page site are very good .. thank you Facebook

and I don't promote the FB page either .. just post and people find it so zero advertising costs
