I have found Videoslots excellent to work with and a great partnership in trying to work together to build and generate traffic. Transparency has never been a concern and all questions have always been answered promptly. With over 1900 games there is a lot of great potential with Videoslots. I wish some other programs were as enjoyable to work with.

Agree with much of the above. Here's mine in no particular order (and are mainly things I hear myself saying to my team)....

* It doesn't matter what the deal is, work with the sites that consistently send you the biggest cheques
* Don't do rev share with brand new sites. Work on pre-pay first then go on Rev share
* There's enough to go round. You don't have to be a ****.
* Play the long game.
* Behave professionally and courteously at all times.
* There's always a million things to do - prioritise your workload to get the 'biggest bang for your buck' on what you are doing

Few randoms to throw in to the mix..

1. Your working time is money, spend it doing things that generate you income.
2. Work to live, don't live to work.
3. Your health is the most valuable asset you have - look after it.
4. Don't be afraid to walk away from anything - you'll be stronger for it.
5. No matter how good your intentions, someone will always think the worst of you. C'est la vie!
6. Look at the bigger picture - one bad day's revenue may be a blip in a good month.
7. Try and live below your means.
8. When an affiliate manager says others are earning £££ or $$$ - don't believe them.
9. A new affiliate manager on a turkey of a program is just that - a new AM on a turkey of a program. Avoid.
10. Control the controllables - everything else is out of your hands.

Make time to go to the speaker sessions if you go to any of the igb conferences, particulary the ones on SEO.

Yes, some of the speakers are ultimately there to try and sell you some consultancy etc, however there's normally a nugget or two that you can pick up from the Q&A sessions or speakers themselves. Plus of course you can take a breather from being stopped every 5 paces by someone thrusting a business card/flyer into your hand.

Always a struggle for position 1 on google, takes a lot of time and effort. OR spend a lot of money on adwords and see what it brings you. Or maybe both if you have no life.

One thing I've learn is that you are never 100% guaranteed to get paid at the end of the month from any one program. So many things can go wrong within the blink of an eye.

I do love this industry thou, it has help me to acquire a few things my 9-5 job couldn't.
