Text link advertising

We get so many such requests (see below). Always hotmail or something similar. Are these people genuine or is it just bull? We´ve answered a few over the years but they all seem lime time wasters !

And another question whilst i´m at it (if i may): These Indian SEO companies -- Do they really have so many people with English names working for them?

I get loads of them too, operators/affiliates outsource link sourcing & link building to companies, these companies scrape and get massive lists of gambling related websites and then they mass email them, they must use loads of fake name and email accounts for obvious reasons and they dont reveal the name of the company they represent or link building for until you reply and say you are interested...All or most major players use them and unfortunately they spam everyone

If they want to purchase a solid text backlink but can't afford a domain? We have loads of requests on a daily basis but have only replied to two who have paid $500-$600 per contextual link and they provided the content.

Yes I get loads too but I do not tend to be too excited about these emails, just another one that trying to sell you space... I ignore them almost all the time when I see the endless lists of sites... unless its a real site with real volume of related traffic (very rare) where I can place an ad which I know will drive traffic to my site. Its ok to buy adv space as long as its related and from a legit source with actual traffic !

I receive such e-mails a lot but I have never answered one and I will never do so. I would recommend you to do the same

I get these emails all the time. I wouldn't want to risk buying a dodgy link that might get my site penalized, and I also wouldn't want to sell a link for a few dollars and risk losing a potential player that might make me a few hundred dollars.
