I realize that many members here are tired of all of the CAP threads. This is more for informational purposes. Not cap bashing (yawn) or picking on anyone, just informing webmasters that the Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP) audit program is flawed IMO so that there is awareness.
Further, I am not questioning the cap audit team on their ethics or honesty. It has absolutly nothing to do with that.
Conflict of interest is created by the Cap owner(s). Absolute Slots affiliate program is run by Effective Media (EM). Effective Media is owned by CAP owner(s).
CAP is, in essence, auditing their competitors. If the owner of CAP is also running an affiliate program that is advertised at CAP, are they going to Audit their OWN program? That is a conflict of interest. There is no disclosure on CAP that Absolute Slots is run by EM.
It's simple really. CAP should recuse itself from doing any audits as this conflict creates a huge shadow due to non-disclosure.
For new affiliates, I recommend choosing affiliate programs based on unbiased information and audits found at Affiliate Guard Dog and the APCW.
As a side note. The first audit done by CAP was done for Rome Casino. It was incorrect due to a simple error I think. There was supposed to be an apology but if there was one, the public was not privvy to that. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but we never did see if Rome Casino was made right for the erroneous audit.
