    Default CAP Audits-Conflict of Interest

I realize that many members here are tired of all of the CAP threads. This is more for informational purposes. Not cap bashing (yawn) or picking on anyone, just informing webmasters that the Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP) audit program is flawed IMO so that there is awareness.

Further, I am not questioning the cap audit team on their ethics or honesty. It has absolutly nothing to do with that.

Conflict of interest is created by the Cap owner(s). Absolute Slots affiliate program is run by Effective Media (EM). Effective Media is owned by CAP owner(s).

CAP is, in essence, auditing their competitors. If the owner of CAP is also running an affiliate program that is advertised at CAP, are they going to Audit their OWN program? That is a conflict of interest. There is no disclosure on CAP that Absolute Slots is run by EM.

It's simple really. CAP should recuse itself from doing any audits as this conflict creates a huge shadow due to non-disclosure.

For new affiliates, I recommend choosing affiliate programs based on unbiased information and audits found at Affiliate Guard Dog and the APCW.

As a side note. The first audit done by CAP was done for Rome Casino. It was incorrect due to a simple error I think. There was supposed to be an apology but if there was one, the public was not privvy to that. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but we never did see if Rome Casino was made right for the erroneous audit.

I do not understand your response GamTrak. Conflict of interest is serious and I do not appriciate a utube, whatever it is.

    Default Opening Pandora's Box

    Hi mojo, (all),

Conflict of interest issues are just not centered around CAP or EM.

If we all remove our blinkers and see what is around us, not just in front of us, we'll soon realise the entire gaming industry is riff with conflict of interest issues!

    Cheers

Your right...lets get it out in the open...

Honestly I'm tired of dancing around topics for fear of stepping on toes or upsetting people. Besides it's not only my future livelihood that's at stake, it's everyone's.

IMHO these rampant conflict of interest issues could well be a contributing factor to why Governments are always trying to ban our industry.

Instead of adding an off the cuff synopsis now, I'll put together an article on this.

    Cheers

    Dave

    That's the spirit! LOL

I do like a good debate and the other side of the coin so never change Betpartners! If we all agreed we wouldn't need each other.

    Hmmm. Ok!

Let's talk. You know, I am sure we are on different parts of the globe but I would love to sit and have a beer with you.

Meanwhile, I'll try to get you on the same page so I can win that bet.

What do you think of the CAP audits in my first post?

I'm in Malta so theres not many opportunities for me to chat and have a drink with any one here being at the very bottom of Europe, though may try and make Amsterdam

    Well the audit post?

    How does one say this

what the hells an audit? lol

i mean i know what an audit is in general terms but not in this scenario, i would assume it is the same as one audits a company as mine is regulary, but not knowing how it specifically relates to your first post i never made a comment.

And if i am honest if i did know what it was i would still ahve said lets move on as you know my general opinion on this whole CAP thing.

I may seem to be an opinionated so and so but i generally like to give an opinion if i know what i am talking about

    though thats debateable right

Well, since you are going to move on anyway then how am I supposed to win that bet?

    But I'll spell it out.

    1. CAP owns Effective Media
    2. Effective Media runs Absolute Slots Affiliate Program
    3. Absolute Slots has a forum at CAP
    4. CAP doesn't tell anyone it runs the Abs. Slots Aff Program
    5. CAP is performing Audits to all the other programs

Audits consist of testing the aff program by having members deposit and see if the deposits show up to the testee and the stats are correct. BTW, that is a very good way to audit and something that affiliates do amongst themselves to test and have for years. This is nothing new. I recommend testing stats that way.

Then CAP makes a report and publishes it. That's all. At least it's out there for everyone to see. Will CAP audit AB Slots that they run themselves and expect no one to say ummmmmmmm? Is it fair to Audit their competitors without telling them they are, in fact, competitors?

That's the beauty of the GPWA. I won't get banned for posting this.

BTW, I am in the US way over on the east coast on the beach. Though I bet if we got together we could solve the worlds problems!

    Ok, see what you mean

Yes there is indeed a conflict of interest there but i would guess that everyone knows that as a given considering that we have the EM/CAP/Absolute slots connection.

So now you just know what i am going to say don't you?

So i wont, this is one CAP thread i will leave you to debate with others about, though Aussie Dave has spiked my interest somewhat, but that will require another thread i reckon.

Now the east coast of the USA where would that be, i at one time worked in California, just outside Oakland in a place called San Leandro, but that was a good decade ago.

Can't wait for the A's to win the world series this year

Ok know i am talking rubbish now

I am very happy to see you acknowldge a conflict of interest. I think I have a chance at winning this bet!!

    LOL. You are so fun.

BUT! Everyone does not know that. There are new affiliates reading here every day. I know. I was one of them. I read 50 pages here when I started out and learned a TON. This thread is for those that may not know that.

    Thank you for listening.

Nope the bet is lost Mojo sorry

You see i have always accepted a conflict of interest exists but by your reasoning we would still be discussing this in 10 years time because there is always new affiliates coming on.

Its all burnt out now, everyone knows what has happened and new people can easily find the threads, its now up to affiliates and AM's to make their decisions based on the info already published

Unless anything new and startling comes out i dont see the need for all these new threads accusing CAP of this that and everything.

Oh you are devious you are dragging me in to this lol

Oh come on now, you know there were no threads about the crap.. I mean CAP audits. This is new! Even you, Betpartners, admitted a conflict. My work is done.

Define 'Irregular Betting Patterns'. I would say it is ultimately clear who won. Perhaps you are just afraid to say..
