Default Thunderbird E-mail Client - Supernova

I have been using Thunderbird to manage e-mails for years. My Thunderbird just got updated to Supernova, and I hate it. Is anyone else using Thunderbird? Fortunately, my Mac is still on 102.15.1, and I have disabled auto updates.

I prefer to downgrade back, but that is going to be a heck of a lot of work.

100% agree. I equally hate the last update. It's ugly and nowhere near as user-friendly.

I rarely use it, but will make a point to disable updates based upon this report.

For anyone considering doing such, try this method.

    Disable internet temporarily
They open thunderbird and disable auto update.

Guessing just opening the app while connected to the net could trigger the update.

I actually did not know where the settings for update were in thunderbird as I only use it once in a while so I dug this up.

Obviously most of the screen shots shown did not help anyone that likes computers and most were ipple that did not match the mozilla settings on a pc.

I chose the registry method as I am very comfortable in the registry although I suggest caution on changing the registry for those that don't understand it and you might want the other methods mentioned.

You can always downgrade it, back to previous versions!
I didnt like that Default Threaded version of conversations, havent found any option to disable on default for new accounts etc.
So i just get back old installation in place

Anything that auto updates (software or WordPress etc), I make it a habit of disabling it.

Still have the older version of Thunderbird. Used it for years. Hassle free way of adding new email addys.

Easy, simple and straight forward. Just how I like it
