Default Too much forum war ... not enough GP hunters

Hi all and thanks for coming in.

Folks we need to really concentrate on burning down GP.

Way too much energy is given to the forum wars and GP is laughing their ass off which is bottom floor ... but wait until the next program follows suit because we sat around wanting to bite each other's heels about what some other forum is doing that if everybody would just ignore .. would shrink up and go away quietly on its own.

Every post .. including this one gives them crediblity. Notice I do not name them. That gives them even MORE.

I said this in a post a while back and most already knew it but it would not hurt to remind that the other forum is only as big or small as you allow it.

But by continuing to talk about it ... you're just giving crediblity.

And at same time we're letting the biggest threat to affs ... which ever existed ... barely be talked about.

IT IS TIME TO CHANGE. before its too late. Now lets turn up the heat on GP and if you really hate that other forum ... quit being its best advertising venue.

To further illustrate about my point on advertising.

Consider that 6 months go by. Yes the other forum will pick up some newbs. So will other places. The only one forum that is mentioned on all the forums during that time .. is the one you don't like. However by being noted on all the other forums .. makes it look like it must be some kind of big-wig.

Now consider .. you've been on the net a long time. Do you believe the posts made by the same person who continues and continues to harp in a negative way towards something?

Generally I need a lot of people making one or two bad posts. After that it begins to look like schills for the other side are bad-mouthing.

Worse yet .. is the other side isn't responding as much any more .. which if they'd had any brains would never have even acknowledged at all,... but that's another story. Anyway now things look terribly one-sided and though I'd check out the place with extreme caution ...

honestly I'd have no problem with going to that other "forum" becaue I long ago chose to make my own decisions based on my own thoughts that i could know for certain were true and until otherwise .. hearsay is taken with a grain of salt.

I'd have no problem dealing with a company with a bad rep because I went into it knowing not to enter into any business dealings with those people but at same time to use them for my agenda.

That's the best way to get someone or thing that's unscrupulous.

Also consider these are highly intelligent people ... being that .. they are just as likely to think like i did (no claims to high intelligence .. just a lot of practice learning the hard way) ... and use a place for their own agenda while being careful to not "get any on them" ... and having no real investment in whatever the wars are about .. they will move on their merry way and if you were there they'd thank you for telling them where that place was.

Very few people go thru life involving themselves in the cause of others ... and probably the numbers go way down again if you're talking gambling.

    This isn't the Nun business.

So like with everything else .. moderation. Over the top and you're only fueling the other team's fire.

If you really want to see the other side completely go away .. contact your friends who are still there and convince them that soon there will be multiple places they can go to communicate with programs and get whatever they need without supporting that forum.

That and the physical threats were what convinced me. Once enough people leave there .. its no longer a great tool.

Perfect. The adverts must stop and we really need to get on with biz as usual. Nothing is changing by bitching nor will it. Thanks for the post BB and I trust many will read and understand what you are driving home.

We recently made a decision that turning up the heat on GP is definitely a good thing. So look for some help from us for webmasters in doing this soon.

Actually, J.Todd gives a hint of our plans in the Perspectives Friday video released earlier today.

You can view it from the following thread:

Steve completely understand where you are coming from. But IMO the whole CAP Saga is relevant and should not be swept under the carpet. Instead of addressing the issues, Lou and Affiliate Media would like nothing more than everyone to forget about their transgressions re CardSpike etc.

I agree though about turning the heat up on GP and also being more productive with our own sites. Yet it would be irresponsible of us all if we suddenly forget what has happened over the last few months. Lou would like nothing more and he does not deserve that.

However if you feel strongly as I and several others do with regards CAP - do what I have done and write an article about it and put it on your website - Thus informing newcomers to the industry what has been happening. That way we can keep the forums clear to discuss other issues.

If anyone has written about Card Spike or CAP and wants a link please send me a PM.

Also if you want to digg my own article go ahead

Feel free to digg the article. Digg has helped get it crawled and indexed by google already. Moving on up now

I rank #3 in google.co.uk and google.com for Rogue Casinos. Will gladly add Grand Prive, even though personally and thankfully I haven't been affected by the fallout.

Agreed BB - there are other fish to fry! So if you're out there benefiting off the industry without giving benefit to the whole - watch out!
