Default Too tired to be honest

For the past year as I have worked full time and part time on a few different sites I have become tired of promoting what I believe to be honest and trustworthy online casinos. I am tired because loads of traffic is coming to my sites and lots of casinos are being sent traffic but very little has been converting. So knowing I've done my job I have decided to view other sites which are known as big sites.

I see these sites making a lot of money yet promoting just about anybody. Top game casinos , non paying casinos, etc. maybe I'm tired of running around being the guy who spends most of his time doing the research and maybe I should spend more time writing reviews about random casinos instead of researching them to see if they have numerous complaints. Maybe I should worry more about the affiliate program then the casino itself. if they pay I should promote them.

    Let me give an example.

I love the Casino Rewards group and I play at them myself. Renee is amazing and the program has so much in the way of advertising that it makes my life super easy.

Class 1 casino was on my rogue listing for a year before we worked out the issues I had and they have a basic affiliate program and an affiliate manager I don't even have on msn nor do I speak to very often.

The kick in the nads is I made more with class 1 casino in 2 months then I made with casino rewards in a year.

Its things like this that just make me tired. So perhaps the fight is just not worth it. I never want to be one of those affilaites that says ' screw the player" but I don't seem to be getting much result from the casinos I trust. This is about making a living and never once have I received an email saying thanks for keeping it real.

With that said I'm tired and feel the root of all evil sometimes means more then looking out for the players.

These are tough times Chris and at the end of the day you have to pay your bills as well ,if you find a casino that works for you or a keyword that converts I would probably expand on that. Some people have casino directories that list ALL casinos even the bad ones but say that they are bad casinos and they have told me they earn more with these 'bad' ones than groups considered to be the best.
At the end of the day you are running a business not a charity , don't know anything about class 1 and why you would rogue them but if they work stick with them.

At the end of the day what matters is which brands convert well for your traffic. Sometimes big brands will not convert because the players you get on your sites would be already players at these brands. Having said that, sometimes big brands convert better than smaller unknown brands. All depends on what kind of traffic you have on your sites.

To start with you can push what makes you more and the ones you anticipate would make you money in the long run. You can always find trustworthy brands for any softwares. Just need to do the research. I would personally stay away from established rogue brands. It is not worth the effort.

I agree with that. You should do what is best for you without screwing over players. List a larger number of casinos but make sure to point out the bad ones.

At the end of the day, it's the players who will decide at which casino they want to play but at least you will have kept your part of the deal by letting them know exactly what they are getting themselves into. And if you make money out of it, well fair enough.

Though I don't know you that well, I have the feeling you won't resort to screwing over players just to increase your income. If that had been the case, you would not have started this thread...

So vent out and know that we will be here to listen and comfort you.

    I agree with everyone else.

It comes down to what works for you, and I have said this time and time again..

I will most certainly not be offended if you decide to replace us with others Chris and I can only wish you the best of luck in doing so

The one great thing we can say is that we managed to get you your first few players after chopping and changing your site a little

Thats really my point. You have spent hours helping me and I send you maybe 3 new players. The other guys didnt help one bit and got more players and deposit then casino rewards. doesnt seem fair. I dont forget those who help me so im not going to remove rewards just because of low traffic. Im just trying to do both while making a fair living.

While I do appreciate it Chris, I'd hate for you to hinder your chances of making an income from another group by leaving us up.

Everyone goes through low points in anything they do. Just keep your head up. Your converting players and thats something to feel good about. No matter what casino they are converting at.

I am not sure I understand what this post is alluding to, but I know this:

Renee is extremely helpful and is always one step ahead of me.

Casino players can come and go very easily, sometimes promoting this market can be the easiest and sometimes the hardest job in the world. You have to roll with the punches sometimes, as you never know when the next big player is gonna come along.

Lastly, if all isn't going well. Find a new brand/aff program and try something new, it might just surprise you.

    Good luck pumacat

I remain a very very part-time online gambling affiliate. I rarely do anything in this market after becoming very discouraged over the 30 players I tracked and sent to particular casino partners. I was not credited for none of the referrals nor did I care business as usual. I figured the time it would take complaining about it I would lose more valuable time and cash. Besides the end result would be the same complete and utter denial I ever sent these players.

With programs like Star Un- Partnered running lose poaching players and affiliate earnings my choice was clear, do something else! The game is over I can’t take the dishonesty. So now I freelance for some Major Global Companies and OMG the pay is good and on time. Now I get paid for my HARD work and have managed to transform my life for the better.

Being an affiliate was a complete waste of time for me. Most affiliate programs burn you one way or another and that is a fact!

    Just my humble opinion.

I would say focus on what makes you money first. Debts can be repayed when you grow and have more traffic.

Well, I too have been tempted to admit rogues, especially where I think I can have a good rapport with them and they are willing to solve issues my players might have.

BUT - after years of watching this, I find:

My business model depends highly on returning players. Players that make my site their home because they feel safe and protected. That both makes me feel good about the whole thing as well as carries me through bad times in google etc. It's a give and take between players and my site, and it has worked for both.

Rogue programs tend to lack character. Even if they only screw the cleaning lady, eventually they will screw players and affiliates alike. Typically you have a great start, but if you are not among their top performers (and these are coddled by all programs, including rogues) they will soon decide to suck out of you what they can and then drop you.

Hence I am not changing the way I do business. I will continue to try to provide a safe haven for players.

As Dominique are saying, it depends somewhat how your site is built, are players coming back when they are looking for a new casino, or do you get players from a few specific key words and they might just as well end up on another affiliate site if they change casino or go straight to another casino you might act differently.

Also keep in mind that if you do promote casinos that might be in a grey zone make sure you have a AM you can trust or easily get in contact with if problems arise.

I strongly think that reputations go a long way and you should stick with solid brands.
On the other hand, I don't depend on a paycheck coming from affiliate players, if I was on the other side, I am not sure how I would act.

    Cheers

Don’t look at the big sites Chris, to begin with they have the staff to do the work for them and believe me no program screws with them better yet they pay them to advertise in their site, they made their sites as big stores they don’t just sell expansive and designer items but also chip ones , this way they get anyone that comes browsing.
I checked out other affiliated sites not only gambling and then I laughed at my site and I said to myself Tony do you really think you are going to be rich with this site. So you either try to find a niche of some sort something that they can't resist coming back to or swallow your pride and mimic the big guys add every program in your site and don’t worry if they are good or bad pay your bills and if someone complain about a program then do what every big merchant will do sent them a free bonus code for another program as gift.
