Default Tradal deception - $8200 commission wiped out :(

I funded a massive ad campaign last month costing thousands on the strength of a CPA deal I was offered by Tradal - $200 CPA for 888.com. I featured it in my main pop-up and had it first in my recommended casinos list and managed 41 sales for the month.

Now they have retrosepectively cancelled the CPA deal saying my players were of very poor quality. Is this my problem? My site is a bonus guide, obviously I'm going to feature the best bonuses first. I fully accept any decision from an affiliate program to change the conditions of membership depending on the quality of players sent but not retrospectively - that is unfair and has cost me untold thousands.

This is the second time Tradal have tried to do this to me, so watch out if you use tradal with a bonus guide

Don't know what to do now... head's spinning a bit.

I still hope someone here who is familiar with Tradal can follow up. They are a member here and should be asked what happened. Does their TOS state anything about the quality of players? If it is the same deal with 888.com, they advertised the CPA deal as "you get the players, we make them stick"

Now, if someone is getting their family members to sign up who have no intention of actually gambling more than $10, I can understand, but otherwise, it should be fair game.

Tradal is not a member, I do however think they have been.

Oopps, I see that now. But I know they were here until relatively recently. Still, I think this deserves a closer look to find out what happened. I know I'd be curious to find out what restrictions are actually placed on that $200 CPA deal. Slightly off the topic, but how are 888 and Tradal associated with each other?

It seems the bad publicity has worked - they've offered me a compromise - just goes to show what sites like this can achieve for all of us.

Why are you willing to accept a compromise if you sent them 41 true and blue deposits?

I'm just trying to understand why they wouldn't pay so other people dont get stuck in the same dilemma. If there is a minimum deposit to qualify for the $200 then it should be stated.

Tradal contacted me last week. I am very glad I turned them down after reading this. To be honest I am not a great fan of media buyers. If I want a CPA deal I speak to my affiliate manager of the casinos I currently represent.

Matted - the compromise was to pay me $6000 now then the rest in 60 days. Considering yesterday I thought I was getting nothing I accepted it.

Oh, that's not bad. Still, a program needs to explain or prove what they consider "poor players".

I've tried working with Tradal a couple of times on RevShares, but I just can't deal with their snooty attitudes.

To me this would be good reason to stop promoting 888.com through tradal and just go direct to affiliates.888.com where you can also hook up with Pacific Poker

Yeah, something still seems fishy to me here... Do you think Tradal is having financial difficulties causing the delayed payment?

Tradal having financial problems would be liken to the US going bankrupt.. They are VERY well backed.

Glad you are getting your $, muffmoney, but it sure will make me think twice. Irregardless, Tradal will not be thought fond of nonetheless.

I am sorry to hear about your issues.
I have delt with them in the past and the same thing came up for me as well. They told me that I was only going to get 50% of what I saw and all kinds of bs before I droped them. I still made money with them but they never ever paid me after that first payment of $6000. They did it to me so I would advertise them for one more month.
Tradal is one of the largest online advertisers up there with the biggest of dogs when it comes to online advertising.
Be sure you keep on them about paying you.

Well, CPA itself *can* work out well - I do rather well myself with some CPA deals.

However, I do often consider taking Tradal up on their numerous proposals in view of their attractive-sounding CPA deals. Thing is, these repeated complaints about ripping off affiliates always puts me off. I can't see me ever working with them...

Not to mention the CPA model leaves no ambiguity about how long a "lifetime" of a player is! The minute you stop actively promoting some programs will consider stopping your rev share paycheck.

I know we're getting off the point of the thread, but matt is completely right about that part. When joining a new aff prog I *always* read the t&c. I know it's easy to skip the t&c and assume all is fine but I remember doing that with Ritz Club and nearly missing the '12 months is all you get for your players' part before re-reading and making them change it for me!
