Ukraine regulator cracking down on illegal sites

While in the midst of a war with Russia, Ukraine's KRAIL, the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries, announced that it has shut down more than 1,000 illegal gambling sites. It added that there are still 727 websites still in operation that have found loopholes to provide Ukrainians with gambling products and that it will be stepping up its effort to block them as well.

From KRAIL:

Based on the result of processing the information provided by KRAIL, the Bureau of Economic Security applies to the National Center for Operational-Technical Management of Telecommunications Networks regarding the blocking of domain names of illegal gambling organizers.

Thus, over the entire period of activity, KRAIL has identified 1,895 illegal gambling web resources. In order to update information on the state of operation of illegal websites, the Commission conducted search and analytical work, as a result of which, as of April 17, 2023, it was established that the activities of organizing and conducting gambling are carried out only on 727 websites from the entire array of previously identified ones, while others have changed their target destination or prevented access to gambling.

Same thoughts here before reading the comments ... surely they have more important things to be worrying about at the moment. Every dollar possible should be going to the war efforts.
