Question Is using AI for website SEO optimization effective?

Has anyone tried using AI for the entire SEO optimization process of a website? This includes building the site with AI, performing basic SEO optimization, and using AI to generate content—essentially, a fully automated website. Can such a site achieve a high ranking on Google?

Have a read through the seo section of the GPWA as well as performing a handful of searches at the GPWA. Quite a few discussions in many places about using ai for content generation, seo and many other uses.

AI raises the floor but doesn't raise the ceiling, great SEO still takes strategy and real insight.

I can't think of anyone who's been around a while to trust turning SEO over to Ai.

I use AI heavily in determining what to change on my website (for SEO purposes). It has helped tremendously. I created a workflow and use MCP servers to access my site directly for this purpose. Even if it isn't 100% accurate, it gives as good of advice as you can get provided you give it explicit instructions. I tend to use a blend of 3 AI's to do this and I do not make any changes until they all agree.

I'm afraid to use too much AI for SEO because of Google's recent updates

Agree with using it for analytics over content. Lots of scepticism over using AI for SEO at the moment as it parrots forums, but its scrutiny is often super useful as long as you don't lead it.
